Circle (II) (2015)

Good movie about how society sees and judges things
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
50 random people chosen somehow by somebody and placed in a weird dark room in a circle formation.

Soon they get to know that they cannot move outside of their own spots or touch another person, otherwise a mystirious orb located in the center of ther room, electrifies them with a shot and kills them instantly.

It is a weird phyco game which takes turns of two minutes each and the players must vote who they want to kill next.

We start witnessing the "prisoners / players" making decisions on who to kill next based on various factors, and this is what makes this movie stand beyond mediocracy.

Things like, age difference, sexual orientation, family, work, public service, religion, pregnacy and more come on the table and players must choose a side and vote accordingly, in a way to save their lives.

Lack of sleep makes you go grazy really fast
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is what most people seem to forget when reviewed this movie.

Sure there are lots of things "unanswered" or without a logical explanation, or got "american" with all the shooting all of a sudden but don't forget, that their actions were an outcome of their lack of speel.

It is said somewhere near the end, that it was their 6th day without sleep, plus they were all in that weird military-medical coctail shot with bad side effects. So they all went crazy after that.

Nice story based in a "fresh post-apocaliptic" world. I liked the fact that all the characters were starting to lose it day after day.

More like Taken than Rambo
7 May 2021
The only thing "Rambo like" is the ending fight scene.. First third of the movie is a bitter soap opera emotional part.. Middle part is the the whole "Taken" movie... Finaly, the last part we start to see what it feels like a Rambo movie.. Which is guns, killing, explotions, etc with some really nice mortal kombat fatality moves..

Pure idiotic nonsense
20 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So, the first film had only the original idea (a bunch of people killing each other to survive), and nothing else was good.

This film, has totally nothing good to offer. It has absolutely no meaning at all.

They arm a class of low profile criminal teenagers to go and kill the "terrorist" group which is formed by the previous two winners and some other teenagers.

1) How did they expect a bunch of teens to know anything about military guns and tactics? No sense.

2)If the "terrorists" were so dangerous, why didn't the military kill them until then? They were just a few angry teens with guns... No big deal for an armies Special Forces right?

3)Why on earth would the terrorist hide in an island? The air force could kill them in a matter of seconds if they bomb the island

4)Why do they need to put them in pairs? They need those "terrorists" killed so they said "Oh lets put them in pairs so if one gets killed, the other dies as well... They will sure kill the enemy this way yeah!"

Save yourselves time, and do not watch this movie.

While main story idea is good, the film is bad
20 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I think this movie is overrated at 7.7/10.

Despite the fact that the original idea has no total logic (send kids to kill each other to evaluate life and ethics etc??), all the remaining issues have no sense as well.

1) Why their school principal (their sensei) has so important role and even the military guys obey him? He is just a school principal after all. 2) Why on earth, the military left without checking for the last 2 bodies, in order to determine the winner. They got scare of the principal?? It makes no sense.

I could count down for ever but lets stop here. The only good about this film is its main purpose, throw a bunch of people in an island and tell them to kill each other until is only one survivor. They could make a better film much easier.

P.S. The sequel (BR2) is even worse
