Knock off mean girls
29 September 2017
I did find this movie a quite mediocre, cliché teen chick flick. There were so many flaws in this movie that it made the movie experience cringe worthy. The characters were some what relatable, but also poorly acted. Like you would have the most typical characters that you would find in any chick flick. Like the mean girls vs the socially awkward girls. It did become a bit of a bore since I have seen it all before. There wasn't really anything "great" about this movie. The concept and plot was quite interesting though it was poorly executed. I found also the narration throughout the movie were totally unnecessary. I felt really confused because we were looking into both of the two best friends lives, So it just felt useless having narration in the movie; It just felt tacky and rushed, just to give a bit more substance to the movie. There wasn't much intelligence to the movie. It was about geeks and freaks but it just felt so badly done, I just didn't like it at all. It is also just another knock off mean girls chick flick. Just watch mean girls.

The Mist (2017)
Not sure how to feel
17 September 2017
I have never watched the original movie or read the novel by Stephen King, so I am looking at this TV show as its own. When I watched the first episode, I rolled my eyes a lot, feeling like this is going to end up becoming one of those "TEEN" TV shows, with some of the underlying subject matters being kind of SJWish. I thought "Well I must give this show a go" so I have watched all 10 episodes, all each being at least 45mins long. There were some parts where it did feel interesting, but there were parts where it felt it was just dragging along. The plot is great, but not really well executed.I felt the story was quite slow, I skipped a few times because most of the scenes were unnecessary. When I first looked into watching this TV show I was hoping there would be more about the mist itself, but rather we were looking too much into conflicts and problems with the characters personal life. When watching an apocalyptic movie or TV show, I expect to see more action. I even watch the trailer of the original movie and saw there were monsters and big bugs and they were trying to get in. Were as I found that this TV show was more of a drama rather than a horror genre. I have read under the dome by Stephan King, and I loved it, and I had quite big expectations for this TV show, but it didn't feel like something Stephen King would write (Though the concept sounded very Stephen King). I know you can't fit everything in one TV show but if the 2007 movie could tell the whole story well within 2 hours there should be no excuse, that is 10hrs of time to make it AWESOME! Even though I was quite disappointed with how it was executed, I am left with a cliff hanger and it was a pretty good one in my opinion, and hope there would be a season 2. Just hope they will reveal more and make it awesome!
