I really wanted to like this show more than I did, but now that I finished watching I can only think that it's truly a mess. The storylines that should go along and meet at some point of the story really make no sense. In this tale of twisted sisterhood there is much wasted potential, (say, for example, of Matt Bomer's acting talent) that by the end of it the viewer is just left with the question: what have I just watched? The only characters that caught my attention are that of the chief policewoman and that of Dylan. I also don't really get the warning about sex when the show starts playing on Netflix, because the sex scenes are really a few, plus nothing so vulgar and shocking is to be seen. About the ending: a disaster of predictability. I'm sorry to write this review, but the show really is a mess of confusion.

Disturbing to say the least. Peters is worth an Emmy

Warning: Spoilers
Definitely worth a watch. Not much because of Evan Peters INCREDIBLE performance (worth an Emmy!!!!), but because of the work that has been done regarding the point of view. There's a remarkable difference between this one and the other Murphy's show "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace". Despite both protagonists being serial killers, in Versace the point of view is Cunanan's, and at times the character even seems ridiculous, or pathetic. There is no feeling on behalf of the viewer here, in Dahmer, but real, utter disgust. How Peters says "I'm not insane", sums it all up.

Years and years and heartbreak

I have watched this short years ago and it keeps coming back to me. It pops up in my mind out of nowhere. I think it's one of the most underrated yet most beautiful performances of contemporary cinema. Andrew Scott's performances in this and in Hamlet are equally, breathtakingly, heartbreakingly gorgeous.

Tried to like it, but didn't

Warning: Spoilers
The plot is a mess. I really wanted to like and enjoy this film, mostly because Rosamund Pike is an amazing actress, but I couldn't. The story is just not believable and the ending seems abrupt and not in line with the series of events. I noticed some slight references to Gone Girl's Amy Dunne but there's definitely a difference bwtween the two movies - Fincher let Pike's talent shine in a brilliant, twisted narration, whereas here there's not really a moment when I've thought "wow, what an amazing match of story and performance", despite her still being wonderful. Overall I have finished watching the movie feeling a little bit annoyed.

Absolute 10/10

Give Scarlett Johanssonn an Oscar already!! This film moved me to tears. It mixes very dramatic and serious themes with sparks of wit. The young boys' acting is very very very good. There's such tenderness underlying the whole dark theme, a tenderness within people which didn't even need to be spoken. That tenderness won my heart. Bravo to the cast and the director.

Such a detailed, particular, unique portrayal of women can only be made by Xavier Dolan. The whole thing makes me feel tenderness. I sort of understood all the charcters and their intentions. They were not just characters, they were alive.
I love you Xavier Dolan.
