Infinite (2021)

Interesting concept, lacklustre execution.

I don't really have much to say so I'll keep it short & simple, the opening with Dylan O'brien was energetic & amazing. It got me hooked instantly but as soon as Mark Wahlberg entered the picture, it got boring & became a by the numbers action movie. What a waste of such an potential & interesting story. Mark Wahlberg was a terrible choice, he looked so uninterested. They should've just made Dylan O'brien the headliner instead of Mark Wahlberg, he was obviously the better choice between the two. Man, what a letdown.

P. S. - Chiwetel Ejiofor was awesome as always & a delight to watch as an menacing antagonist even though the script let's him down. Dude always brings his A Game.

Ghosts of War (2020)

What a stupid ending

As I started watching I just kept thinking why all the negative reviews, this is one of the best war/horror movies. Interesting premise, good acting, chilling atmosphere. I just loved it; but as the movie got to the end, it turned complete 180 & made a fool out of it's audience,the twist was just out of nowhere & completely ridiculous. It's as if the writer hated writing this movie & wanted it to fail. It would've been a fine supernatural horror movie if it stickied to what it started out with; but no, the writer had to subvert the audience expectation. He must've been thinking he was so brilliant to come up with this lame ending. God, what a disappointment, an hour and half down the toilet all because of the ending. A perfectly fine horror movie ruined because the writer had to write this stupid nonsensical ending. What a waste of time & talent.

The Head (2020– )

Brilliant, Keeps you guessing until the end.

One of the best mystery series I've seen this year so far. As I started watching, I thought it was just going to be the usual antarctic sci-fi horror rip off the The Thing. Only when I kept watching it, I realised this is a different beast all together. The way they kept revealing secrets slowly, peeling off the true mystery; it was just absolute brilliant. It made me keep guessing & second guessing myself.

I do urge the people here to keep watching till the end to find the real mystery, this show had so many layers to it. If you're one of those people who just watches the first episode & think I've seen it all before, trust me you're so wrong. This is one of those shows you just have to watch it till the end to get the twist. I'm not gonna give away the twist but I'll say this, it's only by the sixth episode you start to see the whole picture.

Verdict - Brilliant.

Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020 TV Movie)

I missed Psych

It's one of my favourite detective show to watch so I was very excited to see Psych 2. It's just as much fun as the show but I honestly wished it was a bit longer, the ending to me kinda felt rushed & abrupt. Don't get me wrong, it was still fun to watch but I was hoping for more. I wish Lassie had more to do, the boys of course are always fun to watch whenever they're on the screen with their amateur shenanigans. All in all, it was good, light & absolute delight to see the gang back on screen. Hopefully they make another one.

Edit - I had no idea regarding Timothy Omundson suffering from stroke, thank you reviewer jwwalrath-227-85487 for bringing that to my attention.

The Order (2019–2020)

Not really good but not entirely bad either.

So far I've completed season 1, pretty much every character is either dumb or horrible. The angst is just killing me. Why do every one of this supernatural shows have so much angst!! The lead character jack morton is kinda okay, the character alyssa is so gullible & kinda stupid, not the actress fault; just horribly written. Randall is probably my favourite. The characters don't really grow, instead they just suddenly change for reasons.. the finale was underwhelming to say the least, Jack never gets to confront his father properly even though it's pretty much what his characters motivation was so much so that he joined the order for it. So many questions & no answer. Pretty much a lacklustre watch if I'm being honest. Hopefully season 2 gets better.

Warrior Nun (2020–2022)

Good show with an amazing premise, loved it. Has the potential to be great. Cut down the angst a bit, maybe get some better writers for the dialogues & I think this show will be near perfect. The lead Alba Baptista is awesome to watch, I think the casting was perfect. Here's hoping for a season 2, the premise is so interesting that I'll be disappointed if they don't greenlit it for another season.

P.S - Negative reviewers, please don't judge a show you haven't completely watched. Maybe watch more than 2 episodes before you trash this show so callously.

The Grudge (2019)

Ugh... Beyond awful

Absolutely horrible. There's not a single redeeming quality in the movie. I like horror movies a lot even the bad ones with the negative reviews. There's always something in those other movies, the atmosphere, the acting & once in a while good story but this movie has nothing, the cinematography looks like a moody drama, the actors seemed bored, lazy directing & of course; a very horrible script. This movie isn't just bad, it's painfully boring.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016–2022)

It's so weird & I love it.

I watched Arrow for like maybe 4 or 5 seasons, Flash for like 2. Never watched any other arrowverse related shows except Legends & my oh my, this show has gotten so much better since it's early seasons. Don't get me wrong, the first 3 seasons were okay, it was usual arrowverse melodrama but since season 4 the show has become a whole different beast. It's gotten so much fun & better. It's currently my favourite arrowverse show even above Arrow itself. This show has everything; comedy, camp, drama, representation, history & most importantly fun & not taking itself so seriously. I don't know whether if the writer changed between the seasons but whatever it is, I love it.
