Café Flesh (1982)

The most artistic porn movie, by far

This is the best of best, or the less pathetic porn movie (that depends on your view).

It is so good that precisely the only flaw point in the whole movie are the unnecessary long hardcore scenes, surely made by pressure from the producers.

This movie has little of everything, scify, fantasy, sexual dreams, drama, comedy, good shows, good photography, good acting, amateur acting, low budget look, exceptional atmosphere, some very high stetics points, lots of psychological and conceptual ideas, etc.

The ending of the story is also a very high point. One of the best endings that I have seen on cinema.

In brief, if you like art get this movie, cut all the unnecessary hardcore out, and you will get a little gem.

The Opening of Misty Beethoven (1976)

Subrealism + porno + parody

This well known movie could produce a p*nese overdose.

The main concept is fair but somehow distorted with bad taste.

Anyway some scenes will fit perfectly in any film anthology.

The plot is simplistic, the porn is too raw, and the parody is weak.

The ridiculous subreal ambient created is the most hilarious thing in the movie.

The movie is creative in some ways, indeed, and has an artisctical and conceptual value, but the average is mediocre for me.

If yo are looking for something sexy, do not look this movie

(I wonder if sexiness could be found in any porn movie).

Barbara Broadcast (1977)

Subrealist porn

This movie is another sub-realist creation of Henry Paris. The stetic aspect is more elaborated than The Opening of Misty Bethofen, but the movie is plot less.

The good: Very good looking actress, perfect photography in some scenes, and that subreal world.

The Bad: Most scenes are just a waste of time, and even not erotic or exiting at all.

If you want to see this movie just FastForward to the Disco sequence. Is like a short movie inside the movie, and maybe the only cool thing to see.

Sensations (1975)

A masterpiece of raw desire and lust

I only saw this movie because I read excellent reports of it, and they were right. This movie is *very* artistic, and that is clear from the beginning where you realize it is first of all a "film production", not just a porno one.

The plot is very simple, it shows what happens in one girl's day, when she meet by accident a bunch of somehow lusty people, whom bring her to a new level of unashamed sex.

This movie was years ahead of his time. A controversial art gallery of atmospheric sex situations.

Why not a better qualification? It was because it could be too hardcore in some shoots. Insinuating things are better than show them raw, sometimes.
