Boy Kills World (2023)
Loved it and watched it twice
The first time I went in with no expectations and came out with stars in my eyes. So I went in a second time and enjoyed it again at the cinemas.
The storyline was fast-moving and the action/fight scenes (there were many) were detailed and entertaining. The violence and gore added depth to the storyline.
The cast was great, in particular, the star of the show Bill Skarsgard. His acting was good, fight scenes were show-stoppers and his buff physique was simply superb. Special mention to Yayn Ruhian and Jessica Tothe for the exquisite fight scenes. H. Jon Benjamin's voice over was perfect. The splendid dark humour was witty.
I haven't enjoyed a movie so much in a long time at the cinemas. I would highly recommend going to the cinemas to watch it.
Immaculate (2024)
Really enjoyed it
As a hardcore horror genre fan, I really enjoyed this movie. What an unexpected treat! One of those rare movies where the movie was way better than the trailer.
The talented cast delivered a solid performance, the storyline held my attention, the jumpscares were effective, the cinematography was good, the setting was ideal.
The opening credits and the ending were unexpected, ethereal and entertaining. The revenge scenes were delightful. I did close my eyes when some of the gory scenes unravelled.
I would recommend watching the movie at the cinemas, especially if you appreciate good horror movies.
Talk to Me (2022)
A good Aussie horror movie
I enjoyed watching this horror movie in the cinema. The cinematography, make-up, script, character development, terrifying sequences and acting were top notch. Kudos to the writers, directors and actors for delivering a heartfelt tale which struck a chord.
The story was original and instead of jump scares the movie focussed on scaring audience with sorrow and its consequences, and how experiments with the occult can go horribly wrong.
A very good Aussie production which kept me watching with interest from beginning to end. The opening credits were shocking and the ending was fitting; a recommended watch for horror genre fans.
From (2022)
Bitter sweet experience
When I watched season 1, I was wowed by the fresh story, good acting and spooky monsters. It was creepy and enjoyable. The storyline and characters developed organically and took the audience on a scary and thrilling journey. I was eagerly looking forward to season 2.
However, season 2 has been such a disappointment. I have watched 9 episodes in season 2 and not a lot of significant things have happened yet. We are nowhere near unravelling the many mysteries shown in season 1. The directors are dragging out the storyline to make a new season, which has resulted in the show becoming somewhat dull. Pretty disappointed.

LOVED IT - Looking forward to the next season
I was surprised at how good the show was which I binge watched in 1 night. Hats off to the directors for so maturely handling the issues of caste, religion, porn etc. Kudos to Sonakshi, Vijay, Gulshan and the rest of the crew for their stellar performance. It was such a thrilling, fun and entertaining show. The twists and turns in the show kept me glued to the seat.
It is amazing how much hatred there exists in India for women, unmarried women, working women, poor people, people of different castes and religions and so forth. And there is such an obsession for marriage and proceation. Simply astounding.
Dobaaraa (2022)
Finally a good Indian sci-fi movie
Well I don't care if it was a remake, I am glad I watched the movie and enjoyed it. This is a good sci-fi movie which was well-executed. Kudos to the entire crew especially Taapsee and the teen actor (Anay) for their fantastic performance. I was glued to the screen from start to finish and was thoroughly entertained. Most Bollywood audience won't understand or appreciate a good sci-fi movie, as sci-fi is not a genre that Bollywood does well. Also, there were no songs in the movie which made it even more fun. I would recommend you watch this movie with an open mind, and expect to be taken on a thrilling, mind-boggling ride which trancends time.
Orphan: First Kill (2022)
Prequel better than the original
I watched this movie at the cinemas and thoroughly enjoyed it. The violence, gore, pace, acting, story development, setting, ending were just right.
In fact, this movie was better than the original. It is rare to get a good prequel so the directors did a wonderful job. I really enjoyed the twist in the movie. What an unexpected treat!
Everyone acted well and the engaging storyline left no room for boredom. This is not a slow burn (yay) and things get going from the get go. Isabelle Fuhrman was incredibly creepy.
I hope we will get more Orphan movies. There is certainly room for more prequels.
Smile (2022)

Kudos to the talented crew for delivering one of the best horror movies I have seen in a while. Sosie Bacon was fantastic. I literally jumped off my seat a few times as the jump scares were very effective. The story was original and the pace was right.
I would recommend watching it in the cinemas to get the optimum pleasure. I am so glad I went to the cinemas to watch it.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein (2022)
Riveting and enjoyable binge-worthy thriller!
Kudos to Netflix for making a fantastic thriller with a fresh story, a far cry from the dull and boring Bollywood storylines. The entire crew acted well, and the story with its many twists kept me entertained throughout. I am looking forward to season 2.
A Time to Kill (1996)

OMG it's hilarious
I accidentally discovered this show on Netflix and binge watched it all night. It is fun, funny, quirky! The dialogues, the acting, the crew, the setting and the unique stories had me in stitches. Now anytime I need a pick me up, i imagine the sign "Don't worry, it's his sister".
The Fame Game (2022)
A fantastic tv show
I binge watched this show. Delightful acting, nice twists, good handling of taboo issues, good character development, beautiful cinematography, cliff-hanger ending- this show has it all. The whole crew did a great job, especially Madhuri. Madhuri's makeup artist and costume designer did a wonderful job. Madhuri looked ravishing and was the heart and soul of the show.
I feel that people who poorly rated this show did so due to the openly gay characters and the femininism in the show. Well-done Netflix!
The Legend of Vox Machina (2022)
An absolute cracker
I am absolutely in love with this show. The witty dialogues, enjoyable twists, relentless action, formidable villains, loveable protagonists, affectionate siblings, loyal friends, lovestruck duos, comic relief, beautiful animation, lovely settings - this show is a complete package! The masterful writing and execution have made this show one of a kind. I would love to see more episodes. Keep them coming, Amazon Prime!
Reacher (2022)
Highly entertaining thriller
I thoroughly enjoyed the pace, storyline, setting and execution of this show. The crinkum-crankum storyline kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. While there were some plot holes, they did not erode the appeal of this beautifully made thriller. I would love to see more seasons. Alan Ritchson is a most delightful eye candy who also knows how to act. Highly recommended!
Aranyak (2021)
Best Indian tv series on Netflix!
I binge-watched this thoroughly enjoyable and intriguing tv series. This whodunnit with many twists and turns, engaging story-telling, good character development, stunning scenery and talented cast makes for great viewing. Raveena, Parambrata and Ashutosh were fantastic. This is without doubt the best Indian tv series on Netflix and one of the best tv shows across all Netflix offerings. This is far superior to the general melodramatic Bollywood creations. I sincerely hope that Netflix will renew it for more seasons.
Sherni (2021)
A well-made, heart-felt movie
I would recommend this movie to all. This is a beautifully executed movie which deals with a topic that is usually neglected by Bollywood. Vidya and Vijay were great as always. The rest of the crew performed their roles well.
Blood Vessel (2019)
Great vampire movie
I really enjoyed this spine-chilling vampire movie! The Russian guy was KOOL. The plot and acting were captivating.
The Power (2021)
Great horror movie!
A thoroughly enjoyable horror movie which starts off slow and then really gets going. The entire cast especially the protagonist acted really well. I watch a lot of horror movies and this one really creeped me out.
Kate (2021)
Solid action movie
What a fun ride! Jam-packed with action this movie is a great addition to Netflix movie library. Loved the protagonist and the well-coordinated and well-executed action scenes.
The Mystery of a Hansom Cab (2012)
A good Australian movie
This whodunnit was actually interesting and was presented beautifully, highlighting the brutal class system and the lack of independence of women in the 19th century Melbourne. A stirring depiction of the haves and have-nots. The entire cast acted well and elevated the movie experience.
Evolution of Evil (2015)
A very good show
This is an excellent show which showcases the stories of some of the most prominent tyrants of the 20th century. I binge watched the entire series on Amazon Prime in 2 days. Highly recommended!
How to Become a Tyrant (2021)
An educational and enjoyable tv series
This tv series is an entertaining and educational take on numerous tyrants in the 20th century. I actually binge watched it. Unfortunately Mao was not included so maybe a couple of episodes will be dedicated to him in season 2. I look forward to season 2.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Loved it
My family and I absolutely loved this movie. While AQP was good, a AQP2 is fabulous. This movie had numerous jump scares and the storyline moved swiftly with many twists and turns. The thrill-seeker and horror genre lover within me was thoroughly sated. The entire crew delivered excellent performances. This is a remarkable movie in many many ways. I look forward to AQP3.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019)
Absolutely amazing!
I loved this anime so much I binged through season 1 in 2 days. In a sea of subpar anime, this anime is a beckon of light and keeps the audience glued to their seat with non-stop action against the backdrop of an endearing story.
The Dry (2020)

A beautifully executed crime drama set in the outback which will keep you glued to your seat from beginning to end...Do yourself a favour and go watch this movie in the cinemas!
