Eyes That See, Ears that Hear
6 April 2018
Jesus' perfect sacrifice is approached from a controversial viewpoint. Judas Iscariot sought to follow Jesus. But he fell short in the long run. The mangerie that follow him demonstrate that same seeing without seeing and hearing without hearing when in the final seen they board a bus one by one. They behold the Cross, but don't grasp the Resurrection.

Mary Magdelene is beautifully portrayed by a uniquely talented vocalist. The scene wherein Pontius Pilate actually has Jesus' Blood on his hands is a powerful device. Although it is not, of course, not biblically accurate.

Pure Poetry
6 April 2018
The female heart is shared through four, perhaps five female roles, and a token male. I say token because, perhaps like in the lives of all women as they compete with one another yet strive mutually for acceptance, men can often be little more than an accessory. Here the hopes, pains, and disappointments of wives, mothers, daughters, and career women are shared in a very poetic and imaginative way. Wonderful cinemoatography. The use of setting is especially effective.

All That Glitters is not Gold
6 April 2018
This collection of remarkable talent was assembled on a weak script. If the average middle class Isareli family is self centered, morally slack, and shallow, this movie has nailed it. I suspect, however, that the producers intended a tantilizing film, and succeeded by delivering plenty of superficality. The lack of substance, despite strong performances, reminds the viewer that all that glitters is not gold.
