So as of writing this review I'm just finished episode 4. I'm confused because this series got so much hate online but it's not bad. The Paul W. Anderson movies were worse.
This show comes across closer the the Walking Dead where there are zombies but the zombies take a backseat to the human characters. Maybe that's why people didn't like the show?
The two actress who play Jade did a good job. For the entire first episode I was wondering how the de-aging effect was so good then I realized it was a different actress entirely. (Maybe that's just me.)
Some of the larger more inhuman monsters look unrealistic. I hesitate to say "bad" because the CGI isn't bad. It's just slightly below average.
I enjoyed seeing the story unravel so far. I'm excited to see what episode 5 brings.
