I Don't Understand the Hate

So as of writing this review I'm just finished episode 4. I'm confused because this series got so much hate online but it's not bad. The Paul W. Anderson movies were worse.

This show comes across closer the the Walking Dead where there are zombies but the zombies take a backseat to the human characters. Maybe that's why people didn't like the show?

The two actress who play Jade did a good job. For the entire first episode I was wondering how the de-aging effect was so good then I realized it was a different actress entirely. (Maybe that's just me.)

Some of the larger more inhuman monsters look unrealistic. I hesitate to say "bad" because the CGI isn't bad. It's just slightly below average.

I enjoyed seeing the story unravel so far. I'm excited to see what episode 5 brings.

Dragonheart Vengeance (2020 Video)

Great if youre bored

It's funny. I'm actually a fan of all the Dragon Heart movies. But I think this one is my least favorite byfar. Ill give it points for being family friendly and lighthearted. The CGi is certainly better than DragonHeart 3 or 4.

But the dialogue was god-awlful and the pacing was atrocious. Some of the scenes were just overly corny. I just can't with this one.

Michael Manson did a great job as a 1st time director.

The first few movies in the "God's Not Dead" franchise were so corny. The antagonists in the first few movies were stereotype atheists and borderline cartoon characters. GND3 actually seemingly had real characters that had real relatable issues and doubts about their faith. It actually tackles the problems with Christian victimology without being too heavy handed. v

The problem with this movie is the that it has too many unnecessary scenes. There are boring stretches of time that could have been cut out.

Even though it has some serious slow parts I give it points for attempting to tackle a different point of view than the originals.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018 Video)

So I just finished Suicide: Hell to Pay. It amazes me that a cartoon did a better job at Suicide Squad than the movie. Warner Bros. animation needs to give their film department some tips.

On the negatives, some of the dialogue was corny. But that's a small nitpick in an otherwise great animated film. The voice acting was pretty spot on. I cant wait for the next DC animated film.
