Oppenheimer (2023)
Great acting all around. Multiple timelines tough.
I was fully engaged throughout the 3 hours, in fact I wished for more. I do agree with the reviewer who wrote something about the need to follow closely, to turn your brain on. Following the story with its back and forth through at least three timelines could be confusing. I spent some time after it ended going over the sequence with my spouse and I can't wait to
watch it again at home with better captions than the ones I had from the theater's machine.
In addition my head was spinning from all the credited cameos by many well known actors.
The acting is so good that I feel badly for those with smaller parts who seem to be overlooked by reviewers due to the presence of Hollywood. Even Cillian can't really compete with the star power and charisma of Downey Jr. And Matt Damon. Kudos to David Krumholz, for example. I think he's great in his part.
Viewers who expect to see a Nolan action movie about WW II with clear cut heroes and villains will be disappointed.
Bring ear plugs to wear for some scenes.
Les Misérables the Dream Cast in Concert (1995)
Where can I watch this on video?
I'd live to watch the 10th anniversary concert in full on video. I can only find a DVD or clips on YouTube. I lived the 25th anniversary but I'd like to see the original cast.
