This is not a good film
30 December 2020
This thing is all over the place. There are no explanations given to much of the actions the actors are taking. The film relies much to much on George Clooney's star power who doesn't have much to do in this one and the amazing special effects. Beyond the special effects there is nothing ground breaking being done here.

Trading Paint (2019)

Travolta swings for the fences in this one and winds up fouling it off the plate.
18 May 2020
I give Travolta credit, he is trying his best to do something and, no one, I mean NO ONE knows what he is trying to do but him.

All of his newest movies have found there way on to Amazon Prime Video. I go into all of them with the best intentions and while I find them mildly entertaining they are all predictable and aren't really going anywhere. Trading Paint is no exception. Trading Paint isn't the Crow 2 bad. But it's not very good either.

I am really left scracthing my head on this one.I don't know. I just don't know

Captain boring, I feel asleep for 15 minutes.
9 March 2019
My 3 star rating breaks down like this, 2 for the film, 1 for the nap I took.

I was really looking forward to this movie. I usually enjoy these movies and look forward to seeing them again. This is not one of them. This is a 1 and done for me. Larson plays the babe in the woods routine well enough as she attempts to find her way with guidance from Nick Fury and her "cat." Beyond that there isn't much "new" here. Larson looks good in her rubber and latex suit but delivers a bland wooden performance that she herself doesn't believe and that makes it even less convincing. One of the reasons I was looking so forward to this film was Nick Fury's presence in it and hoping MCU delves deeper into his back story. Samuel Jackson really saves this film from being a total snooze fest.

Controversy aside, this was very disappointing for me. My 6 year old didn't care for it much either judging how he couldn't sit still through it. If he likes a movie he barely moves and won't make a sound.

Marauders (2016)

One of the worst movies I have seen in a long time.
24 July 2016
The tittle says it all. The story is to complex and in many instances doesn't make much sense. Adrian Greenier is a terrible actor that actually ruins the movie. His role reminds me of the roles he used to play in Entourage. Pretty with no substance and a non believable redemption story.

When the director tries to get you emotionally involved in the back story of the characters family and behind the scenes lives it falls way short. Mims's home life is laughable. Not the because of the situation, but because of how he and his wife handle it. It's not believable and she is way too pretty to be dealing with what she is dealing with. In addition his "redemption" story just as Greenier's is as pathetic as it is laughable.

Chris Meloni is playing a shell of the character he played on SVU and it shows. His acting has no depth.

Bruce Willis has a few Bruce Willis moments. However it's not enough to save the film. Whenever I watch Bruce Willis act now all I can think about is what Kevin Smith said about directing him. Willis knew this script was to complex and a piece of crap. I can only imagine the nightmare he was to work with just so he could cash a pay check.

Best Movie I saw In 2006
31 December 2006
I loved this movie, the acting, The directing, The story line, Another great performance by Damon & Baldwin. Anything with Alec Baldwin is good, he nails all those small roles. Denerio does not make himself a main Character and as a director really takes you though every possible aspect of the story. Matt Damons facial expressions, or lack there off really spells out the type of man he is. It never changes whether its with a meeting with a mortal enemy or a conversation with his wife, he is expression less as he is emotionless. When the movie ended I wanted to see more, not because I felt like there was something left out, but because it was so intense and so well done I could have sat there for another 2 1/2 hours. Out of a possible 1 out of 10 rating I give it a 9. A must see.
