The Comedy Spot: Head of the Family (1960)
Cannot be missed if you can find it
Wow I had never seen this before, and loved every minute. Tonight on the Catchy Comedy channel they were showing this little seen pilot episode of the "Dick Van Dyke Show", with the only actor I recognized being the late Carl Reiner. I loved seeing this pilot with them saying Petrie different, and even different actors playing the beloved Sally and Buddy. But I do feel having Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam were so much the better choice their interactions really made the show a lot better. I think all the changes that were made make the show so much better, even the character of Ritchie. Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore are also such improvements as Rob and Laura in the show with Carl taking up the reins as Alan, and the great addition that was not in the pilot was Richard Deacon as Mel.
The Lucy Show: Lucy Gets Her Diploma (1967)
DO NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND
I do not really understand, In S2E11 Lucy's College Reunion they went to Lucy's College Reunion to show Chris the campus, so how did Lucy graduate college without having a high school degree???
I mean I know this was made back in the 1960's but wow continuation really was not great, also you would think working for a bank they would have checked all of that before she started working there. How did she get the job working for Mr. Mooney in the other bank if she did not have a High School Diploma???
I guess they were running out of things to do by this season or why else do this. I think I will rate this one a 6.
A Nashville Legacy (2023)
MUST SEE HALLMARK MOVIE
I have never really written a review for a movie but seeing how this one does not have one, I wanted one written. The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel did a great job with this movie. This movie had it all mystery, love, music, and a great cast. I will not name them all but those that stood out were Pooch Hall, Andrea Lewis, Stan Shaw, and Roz Ryan. The visit to the record store with Tubby (Kevin Wayne) was a great add in to the story too. I will not give any spoilers but wish the original Daffodils singing group characters in the movie were all alive to see the ending. The only thing missing is a sequel, I do not know where they would go but it is a great cast.
Dancing Through Christmas (2021)
No Chemistry
I liked the movie, but there was really no chemistry between the two main characters Olivia and Michael. Also, when Olivia and Jordyn were talking about dating and finding someone, they both are thought to be single, especially at the end of the movie when Jordyn is hitting on Noah. They showed her from the side (I think this was an accident and not caught in editing), she appears to be pregnant. For the rest of the time they showed this character they only showed her from the chest up.
