3 Body Problem: Judgment Day (2024)
Clarifying the book
The movie has clarified some of the confusing elements of the book. The use of video and scientific names such as Newton and Copernicus and Lord was made clear in the film. The stunning first 14 minutes gave us two main issues of the book in such a way that only after did one realize what had happened. Truly a highly intelligent rendering of the book and in this case the movie is better understood and appreciated than reading the books, some 1500 plus pages. The books present blocks of the 400 year history in a somewhat "chopped" fashion. The film has a sequential continuity that is easier to comprehend. Spectacular imagery and visuals. Banned in China, but later encouraged.
Kastanjemanden (2021)
Cliche story line
Another film where detectives walk into dark places with there guns extended and get bopped on the head by clever assailants. Characters who throw away their phones or forget them somewhere and when they have them they don't communicate with each other. Surely authors can think of storylines that aren't so fallible to cliches.

Political and police abuse
Excellent casting. Some of the plot connections are a bit elusive, but the message of political and police abuse is very clear. The film certainly underscores the cultural oppression of Poland. Hopefully the honesty that this film brings to bear will help to change cultural attitudes.
Very worth viewing.
Walker (2021)
Bad Soap Opera
This is bad soap opera...Walker is the silliest Texas Ranger who falls for the most cliche TV traps. Dialogue is stuttering confusion. I can't think of any character in this series who redeems this series. Why would a writer sign his name to such drivel?
The Ides of March (2011)
Excellent film
Fast moving, insider view of politics, very apt in current 2018 politics.
