The Northman (2022)
It feels its length
6.5
6 is a little low, 7 is too high.
The action scenes are great, but too far and few between. Loved the cinematography, but honestly, it just made me want to watch Hamlet instead. Same story, but without Shakespeare's words.
Sisters with Transistors (2020)
Who did the sound for this?!
This documentary covers some of my favorite movies, and I loved the stories of some of these men and women, but good Lord I had remove 3 stars for the constant D-tier tinnitus inducing audio. Its non-stop.
This is coming from someone who is both a huge science fi fan and a musician.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Uhhhhh...what was the point?
I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen. Black guy wants his own gang, motivation seems kinda meh. Uncle Jr kills Dickie, because he laughed at him. It all felt like it was going to lead up to something, but Dickie dying didn't actually feel like an ending, because we already knew he was going to die.
Anyway, 4 dollars a pound.
Psycho Goreman (2020)
I was expecting Troma...
Instead it was just irritating. The girls character was absolutely eye rolling and the lack of gore for most of the movie didn't help
I dont blame the child actress though, she seems talented, its the writing.
Go watch some Troma movies instead.
Haunt (2019)
Loved the set design
Absolutely loved the haunted warehouse. Felt completely plausible, with a great mixture of cheesy haunted houses and creepy unsettling horror movies. It would definitely take serious seasoned construction workers to pull this off, but the chain link peep shows, creepy tunnels and slides would make this a memorable haunted house.
Oh yeah, the movie was alright too.
