Fantastically beautiful
26 May 2006
i've never been a follower of the final fantasy series. so watching Advent Children was my first final fantasy experience. and one i wont forget. breathtaking graphics, the emotions just shine through so well it's really admirable. and the voice acting (japanese) was really well done. it's a total must watch, Cloud looks great :D so does Tifa and almost everyone who's supposed to look good does. fight scenes, the moves and stunts left me gaping. it's a definite 10! AWESOME CG. the story was hard to understand for me cos it's continued from the game, so you might want to read up on it before you watch it if you have no idea about final fantasy, like me! (:

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai (2005 Video Game)
Genji: Dawn of a Samurai
10 February 2006
this is a PS2 game, about Minamoto Yoshitsune going on a quest to get rid of the Heishi who abuse their power of the Amahagane (a powerful stone with special abilities) and bring upon hard times for the villagers. Yoshitsune is basically the main character in this game and his companion, Benkei. both possess the Amahagane as well, therefore many believe that they'll be the ones to bring down the Heishi. both have very different fighting skills and looks. Yoshitsune is more agile and light, he's much faster and seems to be dancing when he fights but the damage he causes upon the enemy with each hit is little but takes much damage himself if hit. but he moves fast.

on the contrary, Benkei is big, tall and uses clubs and stuff to swing at his opponents. each hit is powerful but he takes a long while to prepare the next blow, as compared to quick Yoshitsune. Benkei doesn't take too damage with each blow he receives. there are 3 chapters to this game, it's considered rather short in my opinion. the final boss fight wasn't as difficult as i expected but after the whole game, Don't stop playing, wait for the credits to finish too! (its such a nice song!!) then you'll have a new feature "Extras", i'll leave it to you to find out the features it has and then a difficult mode will be unlocked. (gee, remember to save your game!)

difficult mode is replaying the whole game over once more but you will not level up at any point, you aren't allowed to buy weapons or stock up on any resources. meaning you will remain at level 1 all the way through. in which i only defeated the final boss when i was level 27. sooo it'll be hard, yes. with your life bar that short, you only have the choice to be careful, defend your self much and you will be able to collect essences of Amahagane from opponents and else where! you will want to! there'll be some more of shukenten's tests and trials as well, a 100 true kills. meaning killing a 100 enemies without taking a hit yourself and you'll get a reward.

it's a game worth trying, it has beautiful graphics. breathtaking, and the colors never ceased to amaze me. and Yoshitsune looks good(: at some points maybe not but he's rather impressively done. it has a nice soundtrack as well. its not very hard but it's entertaining. the opponents tend to keep repeating the same moves over, after awhile you figure out what he/she's gonna do at what time lol. but it's worth a try! (if only it had some sort of love story to it.. hahha)

Chrono Crusade (2003–2004)
Demon and Nun? A couple?
10 February 2006
another anime with a nice soundtrack, the piano, cello, violin pieces(: Chrno- a demon. Rosette- a demon exorcist. both are best friends, soon to be in love. yeah, Chrno's a demon who betrayed his own kind, long story. an ex-sinner, a group of demons who betrayed their own race, and Chrno betrayed the sinners as well. but he's really nice. and really hot when he's in his true form! *gushes* but yeah, he's around 12+ in his "child" form. in which he looks more.. human. yeah. Rosette's after Aion, the sinners' seemingly leader. Aion took Rosette's brother, Joshua when he was a kid and fixed Chrno's horns on him, giving Joshua this power of stopping time. which used to be Chrno's power until he fought with Aion and lost both his horns. so that leads to his problem of needing a contractor. which means, a demon making a contract with another being. in change for the contractor's life, the demon is able to return to its true form. in other words, changing back just eats off the contractor's life. Chrno's contractor happens to be Rosette. so, watch on from here! it's really sad and funny. and you cant miss Chrno in his demon form!

Seisô hen
10 February 2006
Seisô hen basically means after so many years have lapsed. i think it's a beautiful production and its really worth a try. a word of caution though, i notice many who followed the anime/Manga didn't find this OVA very worthwhile. but if you didn't, and only watched Tsuioku hen, then your in for an awesome treat. it's mainly Kaoru reminiscing about her and Kenshin's past. about their past encounters and so forth, so to anime viewers, it's more like a whole summary of the series but to non-anime viewers, it's like a whole burst of information! all the stuff you missed out on! though anime viewers say that it isn't accurate. but oh well, i had nothing to lose. Kenshin goes off to china and just doesn't come back, Kaoru's ill after contracting his disease from him but still awaits his return. Kenji, out of frustration, left for Kyoto to seek the skill of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu from Hiko. Sanosuke manages to find Kenshin only to realise he's lost his memory, only with one thing left: he has to go home. so Sanosuke helps him out, sends him home to japan, back to Kaoru. then this is the best part. *weeps and sobs her head off*

the soundtrack is awesome. i got ordered and imported from Japan, waited a month for it. that's how much i adore it. just listening to the songs with your eyes closed or whatever, brings back all the emotions you felt when you were watching the show. yeah.

by the way, i didn't watch the anime. so it was superb to me.
