47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
So Bad, but not in a good way
I usually can look past some ridiculous plot holes with certain movies, but this one.... don't even bother watching. I will just leave you with this, the premise rests on the fact that novice suba divers go diving into a cave system wherein they encounter blind sharks. Not blinded sharks mind you, these are sharks that live in the deep depths and no longer need eyesight to survive. The depths for which humans could not be swimming around in a spring suit and a face mask. This is a "watch it if you have literally nothing else to watch and you're knitting a baby blanket while doing so. "
Strangeland (1998)
Had to be there when it came out
I watched this when I was about 14 (20 years ago) when the internet and chat rooms (especially for my age group) were beginning to enter every American home and accessible to the younger generations. I viewed it at a friend's house and remember the creepy feeling I had after it finished. I still remember all these years later, after only watching it once, specific moments that stayed with me. (Not unlike Kids or Requiem for a Dream where one viewing will haunt you forever.) The scene where a woman is tortured so cruelly that she screams and rips her lips open that had been sewed shut is still so vivid to me. It seems like the movie is getting a bad rap due to the graphic nature of the film, but that is exactly what the point was. So if you don't like gore it's simple, don't watch this movie. But if you like small budget horror flicks that have the potential to actually creep you out and leave a lasting impression, I would reccomend checking it out!
Flight 7500 (2014)
Watch while doing laundry/or anything else
If you're bored and need background noise, this is the one for you. Had so much promise; good actors, decent premise (I thought) but then the end is so far out of left field that the entire movie is a joke. Too many plot holes and the "twist" at the end was so absurd because there was no story development behind it. If you want to see a movie with the ending this movie failed at, check out Dead End.
A Million Little Things (2018)
Watch the whole season before passing judgment
I'm tired of people watching 1 or 2 episodes and coming on this platform and slamming a show. Either watch the entirety or shut your mouth. Most shows need a lead up into the meat of the program, if you can't wait.... watch the Kardashians (no plot and you get immediate drama). And to those who say this is a This Is Us wannabe, yes it is a drama program but that's where the similarities end. Different plot line, different characters, different emotions. But ultimately, if you believe the reviews of someone who couldn't be bothered to actually give it a chance, don't listen. What movie critic would you believe if they walked out after the first 15 minutes......
