A.P. Bio (2018)
So much potential but Seasons 3 and 4 were terrible.
This had kind of a Community vibe to it for the first two seasons and I loved it! It's whacky and quirky without being stupid.
Then season 3 came along, and it was very hit and miss. And then season 4...I almost didn't finish, it was SO BAD. Almost every episode was just bizarre and stupid. What a waste of potential. Seems like when Peacock bought it and made it their own original they just ruined it and couldn't figure out how to walk that line between quirky and stupid. Think Arrested Development Seasons 1-3 as opposed to Seasons 4 and 5 once Netflix bought it. Just a complete train wreck that ruined a great show.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)
I REALLY wanted to like it...
The acting is about the only thing going for this movie. The plot is so convoluted that by the end you can't even keep track of what's happening or what each characters goal is. So many completely bizarre scenes that are just weird and not funny. I am a HUGE fan of the first pirates, love the second, and I wanted to like this one so much, but it was just a bizarre, confusing movie.
Wild Yellowstone (2015)
Amazing shots ruined by drama
This documentary got some incredible shots of animals in Yellowstone. However, it felt like someone on the team had just discovered the slow-mo button for the first time and was super excited about it 🙄
By 20 minutes in, I was getting so annoyed. There are only so many times you can show droplets of water in slow-mo and have it be cool fellas. Lay off the slow-mo so that is actually has the intended effect when you use it. Also, the narrators voice was overly dramatic. Overall I'd still watch it for the awesome shots they were able to get, but go in knowing it's overly dramatic.
