Great plot spoiled by botched up script writing!
15 March 2024
The movie has a unique style, an eerie set, but was extremely slow where the viewer might want to press the imaginary accelerator to urge the movie to go faster. The dialogues were just not impactful but Pankaj Tripathi tried his hardest to give life to it. Actors like Dimple Kapadia was not used well, as a matter of fact, most movies casting her now a days don't use her well unfortunately!

The screenplay needed a lot of work. The script needed a lot of editing and the movie felt like one of the first iterations of the script before starting to trim it. It didn't have the in-between tense escalations a suspense movie needs.

The writing should have been crisp and neat. Each scene just went meh, and there was no big impactful scene to help us sit through the slow pace of the movie.

I watched it till the end just to know how how it ends and if there is atleast a sensible ending. It could have been a great film!

Good concept but frustrating cast! The Circle is better!
9 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I just hope the next season has some intelligent and not so stupid cast. Here you have Tolu, Winnie and Jay who from the very first second start playing the game by cutting people out. Jay was so negative and cynical. So much hate in the name of feminism! Was such a cringe to watch! The cast are either dumb to see Tolu playing the victim card and crying crocodile tears when voting Lindsey out while Tolu did exactly the same things before or Gaspare voting Lindsey out was scripted to keep the actual snake, Tolu. Are Brian and Gaspare so naive to fall for such drama and not see the hypocrisy! It was a dumb twist if this was scripted! Lindsey deserved to be part of the final share! My blood boiled to see such negativity get rewarded in the end! The fun part is, Tolu didn't admit of taking the money even in the end! Boohoo!! The Circle is a far more interesting and well done reality show compared to this!

Vir Das: Losing It (2018 TV Special)

Well, at least he warned us in the title!
18 December 2018
I have watched his previous Netflix show, 'Abroad Understanding' and it was way funnier than this new Netflix special. It was biring and quite cringeworthy. I couldn't watch it for more than 20 mins. It seemed like he lacked content and was trying hard to make his 'jokes' funny. It may be just my opinion but I found some of the jokes in bad taste and offensive. Jokes couls be sometimes about silly things or experiences or also be positive to make it laughable. We are watching it to relax and not be again watching someone pull out all the negative things happening around you and pinprink beliefs and opinions and call them jokes... probably he tried dark comedy but it just ended up not being funny for me... I would rather suggest Trevor Noah's Son of Patricia, another Netflix special. Didn't feel the time go and was really funny!
