After being out for more than fifteen years, and having its utterly crazy production process immortalised by The Disaster Artist book and film it's safe to say that this movie has earned its place in cinema infamy. And for good reason; there is not a single redeeming element to this film, yet I still find the film strangely endearing.
As you watch the film you'll find yourself sympathizing with the actors as opposed to the characters, even if you haven't seen or read The Disaster Artist. After seeing the performances you'll obviously start speculating about what happened, and personally I think the realization that this was made by a fellow human as a passion project is a gut punch on its own considering the reception it got.
I've seen many people rate this movie as a 10 or a 9/10 but I don't see it. The first half hour is pretty funny but after that the movie just drags on for what seems like forever. I think a lot of the reviewers have forgotten that as most of us experienced it through YouTube clips and reviews, we didn't have a full viewing, which blurred the judgement of many.
