by EuRbLaSiAnHoNeY | created - 28 Mar 2011 | updated - 18 Apr 2011 | Public

I would like to see these films remade and brought back with the right cast and to be just updated and for the fun of it. Please feel free to add some of your thoughts on what films you would like to see updated as well.

I know i loved the Addams family and kinda wished i had been apart of them. This is a semi old classic film that i think could use a remake of with the star cast of:

Morticia Addams: Angelina Jolie(she has a dark appeal to her and is very dark in style and personality)

Gomez Addams: Billy Zane(seems to do well with comedy, has a handsome dark gentleman way about him that just goes right with his look) OR Johnny Depp also has a handsome dark appeal.

Fester Addams: Jason Alexander(He's pudgy and does good with comedy,he's a little short but with good camera angles they can make him look big)

Wednesday Addams: Isabelle Furhman(She has a dark creepiness to her since her Orphan film and as a new young actress she can use more decent roles)

Pugsley Addams: I'm thinking they can cast someone new for this part. or Angus Jones

Granny: Annie Potts maybe.

Lurch: John DeSantis (He did The Juggernaunt in Thirteen Ghosts and really stands at 6'9 ft tall!

2. Splash (1983)

PG | 111 min | Comedy, Fantasy, Romance

71 Metascore

A young man is reunited with a mermaid he briefly encountered as a boy and falls in love with her without knowing her secret.

Director: Ron Howard | Stars: Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, Eugene Levy, John Candy

Votes: 83,416 | Gross: $62.10M

This is a cool movie that i think needs a new modern take to it.

3. Marie Antoinette (2006)

PG-13 | 123 min | Biography, Drama, History

64 Metascore

The retelling of France's iconic but ill-fated queen, Marie Antoinette. From her betrothal and marriage to Louis XVI at 14 to her reign as queen at 19 and to the end of her reign as queen, and ultimately the fall of Versailles.

Director: Sofia Coppola | Stars: Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Rip Torn, Steve Coogan

Votes: 121,882 | Gross: $15.96M

I absolutely hated this move that Sophia C did. It had not 1 inch of seriousness to it and the 80's music in it sucked with the time period that the story is set in. I don't feel that she did it justice and they could have had a more prettier actress than Dunst. I would like to see more of the real facts and events that took place with the real Marie Antoinette. A serious film about her like they did with "Elizabeth" Sophia C's adaptation of this film was a complete and total flop in my opinion. Cast a better looking young actress like.. Amanda Seyfried. dye her platinum.. she does alright with acting and she's one of today's hottest new stars with a fan pool.

4. Cleopatra (1963)

G | 192 min | Biography, Drama, History

60 Metascore

Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt experiences both triumph and tragedy as she attempts to resist the imperial ambitions of Rome.

Directors: Joseph L. Mankiewicz, Rouben Mamoulian | Stars: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Pamela Brown

Votes: 37,401 | Gross: $57.78M

I hated this old one.. all the actors were white.. in Egypt no less.. yeah yeah yeah i know all that crap in the 1960's most actors due to racial discrimination reasons were but still, i would like to see more actors/actresses play the parts in this film that are not all white, back then the common Egyptian looked black, im part Egyptian myself. It is rumored that a remake is being thought about and is underway and they are going to use Angelina Jolie as Cleopatra.. which i hope they don't do, she was not at all convincing in Alexander when she played a Greek role.. her accent sounded fake as hell and something about her just didn't fit in that time frame to me. A good and convincing actress needs to do the role of Cleopatra and make someone like Kari Wuhrer or Drea De Matteo they are decent actresses, beautiful, not over the top ethnic looking yet ethnic looking to play the role of someone that is Greek. Kari seems to do accents well and Drea is seductive looking, im not to sure of her skill to do fake accents though. Cleo was Greek but i'm sure a lot of her guards were Egyptians.

5. Hellraiser (1987)

R | 94 min | Horror, Thriller

56 Metascore

A woman discovers the newly resurrected, partially formed, body of her brother-in-law and lover. She starts killing for him to revitalize his body and escape the demonic beings that are pursuing him after he escaped their underworld.

Director: Clive Barker | Stars: Andrew Robinson, Clare Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Sean Chapman

Votes: 140,515 | Gross: $14.56M

I would like to see an updated take on this franchise.. i really liked most of these film, mostly from the 3rd film and up. These can be really scary and fun to watch if they were done a little different and with new updated special effects.
