This celebrity sighting is giving us '90s nostalgia. Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted making a rare public appearance with her hubby Olivier Sarkozy at the "Take Home A Nude Annual Auction" at Sotheby's in New York. Olsen wore a black ensemble with lace detailing at the bottom, as well as white shoes. Her husband donned a grey suit, a light blue shirt and a tie. The event was hosted by the New York Academy of Art and honored the painter John Alexander. According to the organization's website, the event offered cocktails and an auction followed by dinner. Mercenary: Absolution is the latest direct to market offering from action superstar Steven Seagal and marks the sixth time Seagal has worked with director/producer Keoni Waxman, previous films including Force of Execution, A Dangerous Man as well as the fantastic Maximum Conviction. Steven Seagal and Vinnie Jones star in Mercenary: Absolution. Matt has compiled 10 reasons why it's the toughest movie of the year...
When Den of Geek published our Top 25 must see movies of 2015, we placed the upcoming Steven Seagal movie Mercenary: Absolution in the top spot. I assume. I wasn’t involved in writing that one and didn’t actually get around to reading it. I heard it was good, though, and so naturally assume Seagal took the top spot.
It’s proved a canny prediction as the film delivers. Well, it has some flaws, but I think it’s alright. If you’re a fan of modern Steven Seagal movies then this is one of the better ones. If you’re not a fan of modern Seagal movies, this list is guaranteed to convert you. I’d stake the Den of Geek editorial team’s reputation on it.

Paul Newman’s salad dressing enterprise is common knowledge, but did you know about these 25 businesses run by Hollywood stars?
What do big-time movie stars get up to in their spare time? While their fictional counterparts might enjoy chopping wood or getting hosed down by friendly females (more on that here), actors themselves have a tendency towards wacky entrepreneurial ideas and hefty industrial investments.
Looking at our findings from some rigorous research (read: Googling), it seems that you can divide famous actors into a handful of groups – those who are trying to do something good for the world, those who are trying to break into internet megabucks and those who like opening restaurants.
Without further chit-chat, here’s a breakdown of which stars are behind which brands which you may or may not know and love…

Movies legend Dan Aykroyd has spoken to Digital Spy about plans for the new Ghostbusters 3 movie and his own rather unique line of vodka.
Crystal Head Vodka, established in 2007 by Aykroyd and artist John Alexander, gets filtered four times through quartz crystals before finding its way into a striking "skull" glass bottle.
The vodka has scooped up awards galore, sold more than 3 million bottles and accumulated celebrity fans in the form of Johnny Depp and Keith Richards (who teamed with Crystal Head for a special The Rolling Stones 50th anniversary gift set).
Discussing how the iconic band came to become fans of Crystal Head, Aykroyd explained: "Johnny Depp carted off a case at the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere. He gave some to Keith Richards. Keith and I have toasted many skulls together."
Aykroyd also revealed that he wanted to get into the alcohol business after being left disappointed...

Australian rugby player David Pocock challenged former tennis player John Alexander, who is now a minister of Parliament, on gay marriage. “The biggest thing in this debate is that we’re dealing with people here. And how can you blame someone for what they are? People don’t choose their sexuality and we marginalise the Lgbti community for what they are. I think that this is a conversation that needs to be had and that needs to be discussed compassionately and actually come to something that’s reasonable. And in my mind, that’s marriage for everyone. We’ve moved forward on so many issues and this is the next progression.”

In this guest post, Peter Miller argues that management upheaval can give newsrooms a common enemy to unite against
In the last couple of weeks I have enjoyed posts by Cathie McGinn on her giddying experience inside Photon, and by Anonymous from inside one of the Fairfax newsrooms, described by the correspondent as ‘toxic’.
These posts conjured up a conversation I recall with a gifted but aggrieved Smh journalist who joined Acp in the early 1990s after the Warwick Fairfax-led Tourang take over and subsequent shambles. She described leaving a great newspaper company that she described as having lost its soul.
To my surprise, only a few short months later she was on her way back to her old job at Fairfax. Over dinner I asked her what on earth had happened, imagining that she had fallen victim to an editorial witch hunt, common at the time and quite probably as common today.

In the first part of our extensive interview with actor Michael Biehn, we got to chat about his 1980s work in The Terminator, Aliens, and much, much more…
Anyone who’s familiar with my writing will know that I have a great love of under-appreciated actors. I’ll use any opportunity available to praise their work, and draw attention to films and performances that sometimes pass by relatively unnoticed.
Michael Biehn, for my money, is the most under-appreciated actor of them all. I’m sure most of our readers hold him in high regard, since he’s starred in several of the greatest films ever made, but to the general public, he’s less widely recognised.
Best known for playing father of the future, Kyle Reese, in The Terminator and D Hicks in Aliens (I’m well aware what the initial stands for, but I was crushed when the Special...

Chicago – What a disappointment. You’d think with a cast this great and a premise this outlandish that this film simply couldn’t lose. And yet, the best things about “The Men Who Stare at Goats” are its title, its poster and its trailer that gives away nearly all of the biggest laughs. The actual film is a charmless slog that doesn’t take itself nearly as seriously as it should.
Peter Straughan’s unfocused script is not “based on” but “inspired by” British journalist Jon Ronson’s book, which investigated a government-sanctioned program of psychic spies that formed in America during the post-Vietnam funk. At one point in Push (out on DVD today, July 7 from Summit Entertainment), Chris Evans’ character says, “What if nothing we did made sense?” That, in a nutshell, describes this movie. In fact, Push left me with a lot of questions, but more on that later. Directed by Lucky Number Slevin’s Paul McGuigan, Push takes place in a world where Nazi experiments on psychics during WWII have resulted in a new generation of supernaturally- gifted humans: Watchers (also known as “Peeping Toms”; just joking—actually, they see the future), Movers (telekinetics who can move things with their minds), Pushers (mind controllers), Bleeders (they emit deafening, nose-bleeding shrieks), Sniffers (they track people’s location by smelling objects that they’ve touched) and so on.
