It was merely two years ago that Hallmark fans everywhere discovered the true magic of Christmas when three Hallmark Hunks tapped into their brotherhood for Three Wise Men and a Baby.
A play on Three Men and a Baby, Paul Campbell & Kimberley Sustad created a fun, family Christmas movie starring Campell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker and brought the theatrical film’s Margaret Colin along for the ride.
The result was pure joy, with a story packed with holiday sentiment, family frustrations, and great love.
Campbell & Sustad and Russell Hainline write the script for the sequel, Three Wiser Men and a Boy, and all four cast members mentioned above are on board, as well.
It’s an early Christmas gift for us all!
What does it mean to be a Hallmark hunk, anyway?
It’s not about looks, although it sure helps that this talented trio is easy on the eyes.

Are you ready for the event of the season?
Yes, I'm talking about the first time three Hallmark Hunks, as they're called, take the screen together.
In Three Wise Men and a Baby, Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell give brotherhood a try, with a little adorable baby sprinkled on top. What's not to love?
If you read our interview with Margaret Colin about the movie, you know that this Christmas movie leans funny.
And really, you've seen plenty of Hallmark movies, so you probably think that you've seen them go funny already.
Could it really be as funny as I'm suggesting?
What you need to remember is that Three Wise Men and a Baby is a first.
It's the first time that three of Hallmark's biggest male stars -- Walker, Hynes, and Campbell -- share the same real estate, and these guys are having a ball.

Margaret Colin has hit the Hallmark jackpot with her first movie for the network, Three Wise Men and a Baby.
If you're a fan, you know she starred as Tom Selleck's girlfriend in Three Men and a Baby, so it's a super fun callback, and her Three Wise Men and a Baby role as the mother to three of Hallmark's top actors, is really fun, too.
Most people will be familiar with Margaret from her many other roles in TV and film. She started in soap operas at 19, starring opposite Oscar-winner Kim Hunter on Edge of Night, starred opposite Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman in the blockbuster Independence Day, and more recently had a role on Chicago Med as Carol Conte.
While we connected over Three Wise men and a Baby, I would have been remiss not to get her thoughts on her other work, and Margaret shared her memories freely.

"Time passes and suddenly you realize, 'this is it.'" Vertical Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled The Road to Galena, which will be out to watch starting this July. The film is another of these "what if you had everything, but you still felt something was missing?" kind of existential dramas. Power lawyer Cole Baird has all the trappings of success, but behind the façade, he’s crippled by a career he never wanted and a dream left behind. He now has a choice to make: continue a life of emptiness or follow the path to happiness back to his small, rural hometown. "A touching story of one man's quiet desperation giving way to fulfillment; a story that motivates us to travel our own roads toward a more meaningful life." The film stars Ben Winchell as Cole, Will Brittain, Jay O. Sanders, Jill Hennessy,...

Some people like “Independence Day” for its campy take on “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”; or for its technical achievements, which won an Oscar and set director Roland Emmerich on the path for becoming the disaster director du jour; or for establishing Will Smith as the “King of the Fourth of July.”
Other people — like me — watch the movie religiously every time the Fourth of July rolls around. Let’s face it, when Smith’s Capt. Steven Hiller promises his step-son Dylan (Ross Bagley) fireworks, and you get them in the form of alien vessels crashing to the ground after a high-flying intergalactic space battle, why bother leaving the house to deal with traffic for your local fireworks show? And as Patricia (the positively perfect Mae Whitman) says “Happy Fourth of July, Daddy,” to President Thomas J. Whitmore (Bill Pullman), I dare you not to feel something. Strong father figures and alien-war heroes?...

Naomi Watts is on a career high. The two-time Oscar nominee’s name is buzzing all over the industry thanks to her recent starring roles on film and TV, like Showtime’s “The Loudest Voice” and HBO’s upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel.
“I’m super thrilled,” Watts told Variety at the premiere of her latest film “Luce” about the highly anticipated “Thrones” spin-off.
The secretive “Thrones” prequel pilot has just wrapped shooting in Belfast. During HBO’s TCA summer press tour in Los Angeles, president of programming Casey Bloys hailed the pilot, proclaiming that it contains “amazing” footage.
“It’s such a great group of people. And they did such a great job,” Watts said of joining the “Thrones” world. “It was one of the most phenomenal things that’s happened on TV… I’m super excited. That’s all I can say.”

Patrick James ClarkeFormer Ryan's Hope and Search for Tomorrow actor Patrick James Clarke died on July 31 in Sarasota, Florida, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 64.
Clarke grew up in the Bronx and Long Island, New York. He was a pre-law student at the University of Arizona when he began taking acting classes.
In the 1970s, Clarke studied at the Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota.
He returned to New York City and began appearing in soap operas. For two years in the early 1980s, he played Dr. Patrick Ryan on Ryan's Hope during the height of ABC's soap opera popularity.
In a 2012 interview with the Herald-Tribune, Clarke described being spotted by soap opera fans in a bar.
"I felt like a prosciutto in the window of an Italian deli and somebody wanted to eat me," he remembered. "I couldn"t believe that television has that power over people.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Shades of Blue series finale.
“You’ve got all your tomorrows lined up,” Ray Liotta’s on the run NYPD Lt. Matt Wozniak unintentionally ironically reassured his Jennifer Lopez played protégée Det. Harlee Santos tonight on the Season 3 ender and series finale of Shades of Blue.
While a Goodfellas alum led spinoff for the low rated cliché filled corrupt cop drama could feasibly be launched off the close of Shades, the fact is unless World of Dance judge JLo is looking to crossover to the next season of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, the NBC show’s tomorrows will thankfully be no more.
Oddly, with months to finesse things since the end of the series was announced in April and the “By Virtue Fall” episode that just aired, Shades of Blue failed the clutch test. Full of courtroom drama...

Look closely at Carousel’s dancing millworkers and you might see the patches. Maybe you’ll wonder whether the pipe-dreaming barflies of The Iceman Cometh scrub the collars of their threadbare shirts with lye if given the chance, or would they just leave the filthy duds rumpled where they land?
Ann Roth ponders such things – and decides. Nominated for three 2018 Tony Awards for the costumes of Carousel, The Iceman Cometh and Three Tall Women, Roth has a remarkable career in Hollywood and Broadway that stretches from Midnight Cowboy to The Post, the original The Odd Couple through The Book of Mormon to this season’s triple-play of nominees.
I spoke to Roth last week, prior to the nominations to chat about this season’s work, the differences between movie stars and actors (names are named), and bravery at the mirror.

Let’s state the obvious. Carousel is a masterpiece, a sublime piece of 20th Century musical theater that includes among its abundant treasures a song, “If I Loved You”, that ranks among the most beautiful ever written for the stage (I’d say the most beautiful but I’m not on a barstool). Jack O’Brien’s revival, at the Imperial Theatre and Broadway’s first in more than 20 years, superbly sung by Joshua Henry, Jessie Mueller and Renée Fleming, is ravishing, as lovely as anything you’ll see and hear this season.
If only Billy Bigelow could keep his fists off women.
“Problematic” is the generous description overheard from one patron about a life lesson or two embedded in Carousel, but feel free to use stronger language. Odious works.
Whether O’Brien and his producer Scott Rudin should have tinkered in some way with this masterwork, somehow lessening carnival...

Stars: Jeff Daniels, Melanie Griffith, Ray Liotta, Dana Preu, Margaret Colin | Written by E. Max Frye | Directed by Jonathan Demme
Jonathan Demme was one of the great names of cinema lost in the terrible artistic purge of 2017. His last film of note might have been the forgettable Ricki and the Flash, but there was a period, between 1986’s Something Wild and Philadelphia in 1993 – via no less than Silence of the Lambs – when the director could do no wrong.
Something Wild begins with New York businessman Charlie Driggs (Jeff Daniels) making a mildly rebellious decision: he chooses to not pay for his restaurant meal. A beautiful stranger, Audrey (Melanie Griffith), calls him out. They argue. They connect. She invites (or possibly kidnaps) him to join her on a crazy road trip, heading south with no destination but the next motel, causing moderate chaos along the way. They’re not quite Bonnie and Clyde,...

In the last four months of the 2017-18 Broadway season, six productions of musicals (four new, two revivals) will open. Could we be seeing any of them contend at this year’s Tony Awards? (Read our preview of the nine plays coming to Broadway this spring.)
Below, we recap the plot of each musical as well as the awards history of its author, cast and creative types and the opening and (where applicable) closing dates.
“Escape to Margaritaville” (previews begin February 16; opens March 15)
In this new jukebox musical consisting of Jimmy Buffett songs, Tully, a part-time bartender, part-time singer, and full-time charmer thinks he’s got life all figured out. Until a beautiful career-minded tourist steals his heart and makes him question everything.
With a book by Emmy winner Greg Garcia (“My Name is Earl”, 2006) and Emmy nominated actor Mike O’Malley (“Glee”, 2010), this production stars Drama Desk nominee Paul Alexander Nolan...

Congratulations to the cast of “Veep,” receiving the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series at tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. Receiving the award were stars Dan Bakkedahl, Anna Chlumsky, Gary Cole, Margaret Colin, Kevin Dunn, Clea Duvall, Nelson Franklin, Tony Hale, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sam Richardson, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Sarah Sutherland, and Matt Walsh.
This year, the category featured no shortage of returning veterans along with one scrappy newcomer. This year marked “Black-ish’s” second nomination and “Veep’s” fifth, while “Curb” (returning after several years of hiatus) racked up its third recognition.
Coming into this year’s awards, “Orange is the New Black” might have been the supposed favorite, since the Netflix prison series has won for the last three years (notably, this is one of the few awards ceremonies where the comedy-drama hybrid competes in the comedy category as opposed to drama,...

When it comes to rewarding the best comedic cast on television, the SAG Awards often simply go with the biggest cast. Recent winners like “Orange is the New Black” (2014-2016), “Glee” (2009), “Desperate Housewives” (2004-2005) and “Ally McBeal” (1998) all prevailed thanks in part to having the most cast members on the voting ballot. Interestingly enough, all four of these were also hour-long dramedies, which suggests SAG voters are more apt to give the prize to large casts when they’re also in large productions.
What does this statistic mean in terms of predicting the 2018 SAG Awards? “Orange is the New Black” once again boasts the biggest comedy cast with a record-setting 45 men and women nominated for the Netflix prison series. That’s up from 37 cast members in 2016, 34 in 2015, and 40 in 2014. Of this year’s other nominated ensembles, Netflix’s “Glow” consists of 18 cast members, followed by HBO’s “Veep” at 15, ABC...

This season on HBO's Emmy-winning show Veep, Reid Scott's character, Dan Egan, has become 'Danny' Egan and is co-anchoring CBS This Morning. Monday, May 8, the actor himself guest co-hosted the real-life show. Just days earlier, Et sat down with him to talk all things Veep, Dan and being a d***.
Et: Veep started off season 6 by fast-forwarding one year, and the core group had all split up. How did you react when you read the season premiere script?
Reid Scott: I thought it was a brilliant move because so much had happened. When [Selina] loses the election, it's like where do you go from here? Honestly we all wondered if we would even come back! ... But they said, "Of course, we want you guys to come back," and to explore what happens when an administration breaks up and everyone moves on and takes other jobs, it's fun! You get to dig down a little deeper on all...

"We gotta get that briefcase." Netflix has debuted a trailer for indie romantic comedy Tramps, from writer & director Adam Leon, of the NYC film Gimme the Loot previously. The story follows an aspiring chef in NYC who gets caught up in a crazy adventure when he has to help his brother finish a drug deal. But when the briefcase exchange goes wrong, he ends up running all over the city trying to figure out how to get things back in order. Callum Turner stars, along with Grace Van Patten, Michal Vondel, Mike Birbiglia, Margaret Colin, Louis Cancelmi, and Rachel Zeiger-Haag. I guess the unique twist in this is that he falls for the driver girl, which is kind of nice to see. It definitely feels like an indie, but has lots of heart, too. Here's the first official trailer for Adam Leon's Tramps, direct from Netflix's YouTube: In Tramps,...
