There is so much fans loved about "Turning Red" - the boyband nostalgia, wholesome teen friendships, the honest take on the awkwardness of puberty, and the list continues. In Mei's loyal group of quirky friends, it's hard to miss Abby Park, the fun-loving and chaotic Korean-Canadian friend beloved for her passion and theatrics. Her character was such a fan favorite that fans have made hundreds of Tiktok pages solely dedicated to Abby content. Among that content is a viral Tiktok theory by @marmayeesa2022 that Abby is Boo from Pixar's "Monster's Inc.," and it's a pretty convincing theory.
Signs Abby From "Turning Red" Is Boo From "Monsters Inc."
The TikTok video shows a picture of Abby excitedly hugging Mei in her red panda form because of how fluffy she is. The theorist points out that Boo also loved how fluffy Sulley was, even showing another image of Boo hugging...

I still can’t grasp the reason for releasing a 2D trailer for a 3D theatrical rerelease online, but alas Disney has delivered one with Monsters, Inc. 3D. While we’ll see Mike and Sulley head back to college next summer for the prequel Monsters University, it looks like Pixar wants to remind everyone where they began (or rather, headed to) with a rerelease of their 2001 animated his. I’m quite content with my Blu-ray, but one can see the trailer and poster below via Apple for the film featuring voice acting from John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Mary Gibbs, Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly, Bob Peterson, John Ratzenberger, Frank Oz and Bonnie Hunt.

It’s no secret that Monsters, Inc. is one of the best animated films ever made. (Granted, that might be my opinion, but I think a lot of people would agree with me.)
The family- and fan-favourite Pixar feature has been given the 3D treatment, and despite being scheduled for an early 2013 release in the Us, has been brought forward to the end of this year, to let everyone enjoy it as a part of their Christmas festivities. And now the first trailer for the 3D release has debuted over at Apple to get us all excited.

How does one make music out of "Monsters, Inc.," you wonder? The answer may come as a surprise — and most definitely as a delight.
"Boo Bass" is a light electronica ditty comprised of various sound bites from the animated Pixar classic, most of which are noises made by the film's young heroine, Boo (voiced by Mary Gibbs), and the excitable mini-monster, Mike (Billy Crystal) — with the occasional aside by good ol' Sulley (John Goodman).
It's strange little Internet miracles like this that make us wonder where the creators found their inspiration. Were they sitting around watching "Monsters, Inc." and suddenly thought, "Hey, let's make a song out of all this noise?" Whatever prompted the endeavor, the end result is a treat.
Check out "Boo Bass" below, featuring Nick Bertke's remix of music by Pogo and video editing by goldpikpikcarrots. Thanks to our pals at io9 for the find.

The Australian DJ Pogo is a legend around these here internet parts for his ingenious remixes of Disney movies (and other things, but the Disney movies slay us most) into breathy, happy dance tracks. His latest, "Boo Bass," makes music out of the sounds and dialogue from Pixar's "Monster's Inc.," the cutest of all the Pixar movies (fact!).

In case you missed it, for the month, we were Obsessed With Pixar, a site-wide take-over on our previous home Obsessed With Film that was designed to show our appreciation for the greatest animation studio in the history of film-making. But what makes Pixar so great? Is it just the films? Is it the characters? Is it the joyful and playful ethos behind the company? Or is it all of the above?
Well, follow the link to find out exactly why we love Pixar…

The Disney/Pixar 2001 film, Monsters Inc. was quite the success for the studio, featuring the dulcet tones of such stars as Billy Crystal, John Goodman and Mary Gibbs, the film raked in a massive $525 million at the worldwide box office. So, ten years on, why are we only just getting a sequel?
The question is redundant of course, for ten years there’s been no monster in the closet, but now there are set to be hordes of them at your local university as Disney released the title for the long awaited sequel this week, yup, you guess it, Monsters University.
Disney made the announcement at this week’s CinemaCon, taking place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. While no other real details were leaked, it is expected that Crystal, Goodman and Gibbs will all return for Monsters University, along with the villain from the original film, Randall Boggs (voiced by Steve Buscemi).

There may be an impressive cast of Hollywood actors voicing characters in Disney and Pixar's upcoming Monsters Inc., but two of the voices weren't found via Hollywood auditions. They were found in Pixar's offices. Says Bob Peterson, a Pixar story supervisor on the film who ended up voicing the slug-like Roz, "at first, I was just doing her voice as a scratch track... they did recordings with some real actresses but Pete [Docter] and the others just weren.t laughing as much." Also coming from the Pixar family is Mary Gibbs, who voices the human girl Boo. The daughter of Pixar story artist Rob Gibbs, a two-and-a-half year old Mary's screams and giggles were recorded for a scratch track. A year later, when the character was set and the real recording sessions began, Gibbs was given the role. It was mainly play for the bubbly blonde tot, who didn't quite grasp the impact of what she was doing at the time. Says her father, "Now that she.s five and has seen promos and trailers for the film, it.s just starting to sink in that she.s in a movie." She's apparently proud of it, her dad adds, saying, "my wife recently overheard her telling her friends in pre-school, .I.m in a movie.." (This story was compiled by IMDb staff)...
