Let's be real. Parties aside, you're at SXSW to learn how to be a better filmmaker. These panels will help you do that. We've got the basic details below, but you can click on the panel names for more information. The panels are listed in chronological order: Read More: 10 Cool and Crazy Must-See Films at SXSW 2015 1. Cinematography of Comedy When: Monday, March 16, 11 a..m - 12:00 p.m. Why: Though the focus here will obviously be on cinematography (and since the panel is sponsored by Canon, there will be a focus on Canon Cinema Eos cameras), the panelists alone make this one a must-attend. Joining award-winning director/producer Ondi Timoner (whose latest documentary "Brand: A Second Coming" will world premiere at SXSW) will be producer J.M. Logan ("The Manson Family Vacation," also set to world premiere at SXSW), cinematographer and director Abe Epperson (Cracked.com) and Tim Smith, Senior Advisor,...

With only hope, a dream and one writing credit to his name (SXSW short film Kevin), J. Davis lassoed fellow low-budget filmmakers Linas Phillips (Bass Ackwards) and Jay Duplass (Baghead) and placed them in brotherly love roles. A family reunion type pic with a set of backdrops like no other, having raised a successful round of startup funds in late 2013 via Kickstarter, Manson Family Vacation didn’t drop in ’14, so we’re expecting this low-budget laugher to easily squeeze into the early ’15 fest circuit . It’ll need major funny bone to go with the freaky title to convince Sundance programmers.
Gist: Nick Morgan is a successful lawyer who’s devoted to his wife and young son. His adopted brother Conrad is a wayward soul who shows up in Los Angeles unannounced. Although the brothers have never gotten along too well, Nick decides to show his brother around town. But as it turns out,...

Manson Family Vacation
Director: J. Davis
Writer(s): J. Davis
Producer(s): Steve Bannatyne, Eric Blyler, J. Davis, J.M. Logan, Josh Polon, Alexandra Sandler
U.S. Distributor: Rights Available
Cast: Jay Duplass, Linas Phillips, Leonora Pitts
Among the newbie additions to the extended family of collaborators and conspirators related to the Duplass Bros., J. Davis’ previous cred was as the Kevin – the Jay Duplass directed short docu project. Davis and Duplass re-team on a funny bone project that could easily target next year’s Sundance-sxsw festivals as it has the girth of a film that was helped out with kickstarter coin and without much else (see co-star Bass Ackwards‘ creator Linas Phillips speak from the heart). on paper, the sharply titled Manson Family Vacation is the sort of perfect trifecta indie comedy as it includes: a. modes of transportation, b. confused souls in unique backdrops and c. family bonding.

With double eliminations each week, the remaining singers push their vocal boundaries to make it through to the top 10.
The Voice has always been a show of upsets -- not necessarily because the wrong singers are eliminated too early, but because so many singers are sent home every week in general. America said goodbye to a whopping eight singers on Thursday night, and nearly every upcoming week until the finals will rid the competition of two singers, regardless of whose team they’re from. That means any of the coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine – could be out of the running as early as next week.

With no more saves and steals left to fall back on, here’s how the top 12 performed on Monday night:

Sorry Blake — as a country girl, I’ve always been a supporter. However, now that the top 12 has been officially revealed, it’s no secret that Team XTina is going to take home the W on season five, and I’m on board.
Christina Aguilera seriously keeps getting better. She returned to The Voice season five ready to win — and she definitely has the team to do it.
Team Christina Will Win ‘The Voice’
After three seasons (and a season off) Christina is back and ready to fight for her first ever win — and she’s going to get it. On Nov. 7, the top 12 were revealed leaving Christina with three team members, who just happen to be the three strongest in the competition.
Jacquie Lee, 16, has the strongest voice on the show, hands down — and yes, she’s only 16. On Nov. 5, she took on an extremely challenging song, “I Put A Spell On You.

It was ladies' night on The Voice last night, as seven out of 10 performers were female when Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green went head-to-head with the second half of the top 20 artists competing for America's vote.

While Matt Schuler came in like a wrecking ball with his performance, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee also blew everyone away! Read on to hear which acts brought down the stage … and which just brought us down!
Night two of the live performances on The Voice definitely brought on the competition! While Cee-Lo Green‘s team definitely impressed with classics, Christina Aguilera‘s team took risks by taking on the most popular songs of the year — including hits by Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus!
Team Cee-Lo Plays It Safe, Still Impresses
Amber Nicole opened the show, after Cee-Lo stole her from Team Christina, and she took on “Wasting All These Tears,” by season three winner Cassadee Pope! While Adam Levine did let her know that the one big note was a little off, he applauded her for trying something new by rocking a country song. “Country suits you,” Christina added!

On Tuesday (Nov. 5), "The Voice" continues its first week of live shows with Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green's teams taking the stage to sing live for the first time. Hoping to earn a spot in the Top 12, the ten artists must follow Monday's strong showing from Blake Shelton and Adam Levine's teams to fight for America's vote. Will your favorite artist rise to the occasion? Let's find out!
Before any of the finalists can take the stage, we're treated to a second performance from Xtina, who's teaming with A Great Big World on their single "Say Something." It's a remarkably emotional song. Not exactly the sort of thing that says "Tonight's going to be a blast!" But it's a nice contrast to last night's Flo Rida extravaganza.
First up: Team CeeLo's Amber Nicole
For her first live performance, Amber taking on "Wasting All These Tears" by Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope.
