The Dark Tower is heading for its home release in the UK in December. Here are all the details you need...
Off the back of not very impressive reviews, the first film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower saga - starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey - struggled to gain much traction at the Us box office, only scrounging up $19.5m in its opening weekend. Whilst plans are still afoot for a television series based on the books, there are surely a few question marks over the planned film sequel to this particular movie.

Ahead of the movie's release, a big bunch of character posters arrived as well to promote it, and we've added all of them to our gallery above, which you can fire up by clicking on that main image up there.
Here's a preview of our favourite...

Last April, Marcos Antonio Huete was riding his bicycle to work in Key West, Florida when a pickup truck struck him. As expected, police showed up at the scene of the incident. But what wasn’t expected was the treatment the Honduran immigrant received from the officers.
The footage from the incident, which had been recorded on the police body cam, was released earlier this week. In the video, the policeman interrogates Huete instantly on his immigration status without offering medical assistance or checking on his well-being.
“You illegal? Are you a legal citizen or no? Speak English? You got ID?...

Flashpoint is the new name for The Flash movie, it's been confirmed...
It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend that the Flash movie is now called Flashpoint and will adapt Geoff Johns' famous and controversial storyline, which saw Barry Allen go back in time to save his mother from being killed by Reverse-Flash. The change had huge ramifications for the future of the DC Universe, altering many things and eventually leading to a brand new timeline known as the New 52 in the comics.

Could Fast & Furious 9 be heading to space? "You never know," teases director F. Gary Gray...
The plots of the Fast & Furious films have become so outlandish that the idea of Dom and his fambly setting off for a space adventure (where no one can hear you scream "I live my life a quarter mile at a time!") has gone from 'lol' to 'maybe'.
“Outer space? Listen, I wouldn’t rule out anything with this franchise," admitted Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray in an interview with Screen Rant. "When I read submarine I’m like ‘Ok, anything’s possible’. [Laughs] You never know. I haven’t read 'Dom on Mars' yet but again, you just never know.”
Writer Chris Morgan also refused to rule out the possibility of Vin and The Rock taking out some bad guys in Zero-g, if the circumstances were right.
“Look, I get all versions of that question.

The new movie version of Stephen King's It will be a 15, and well over two hours long...
Good news for fans of Stephen King's classic 1986 horror novel It: the movie version doesn't look like it'll skimp on the extensive plot that follows Bill and the rest of his childhood friends as they seek to end the terrifying reign of Pennywise the Clown in their small town of Derry, Maine.
The BBFC have slapped It with a 15 certificate, which was certainly expected from the disturbing trailers we've had so far for the film, and it'll be 134 minutes long, so you're in for a bit of a sit down when it arrives in cinemas next month. You can also expect "strong horror, violence and language." The film was passed uncut.

Kaiju geeks! Go behind the scenes of Pacific Rim: Uprising and see some brand new footage, too...
Tokyo Comic-Con had all the best in kaiju geekery this past weekend, which seems fair - the blighters are always smashing the city up, it's only right they get a bit of payback now and then, and a chance to cherry-pick the good stuff.

One of the delights that emerged online afterward was this brand new featurette that chronicles the making of the long-awaited (by us, at least) sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 smash-'em-up Pacific Rim, this time directed by Daredevil's Steven DeKnight and starring The Force Awakens' John Boyega as Idris Elba's estranged son, Jake Pentecost.
Take a look...
Previously, Pacific Rim: Uprising finally got its first proper trailer. And here it is...

Be prepared to feel surprisingly un-numb in the bum area when Marvel's third Thor film arrives in cinemas later this year...
We know the drill by now - if there's a new McU movie out, we'll need to pack enough food and drink for the trip to last about 3 hours, various layers of clothing depending on how well the air conditioning's holding up, and our extremely flattering Dvt socks to prevent stationary blood clotting. Planning is key.

That two-hour Deadwood movie might be happening after all. "We're inclined to do it," HBO confirm...
It was back in January 2016 (see below) that we got solid word that HBO was pressing ahead with a Deadwood movie. The television show was cancelled after three seasons, leaving many things unresolved. Thus, a movie to round things off would be very welcome indeed.
See related Jeremy Renner interview: Arrival, Amy Adams, Richard Dreyfuss
Sadly, there's been precious little obvious progress. David Milch turned in a final screenplay, but 18 months later, there's no sign of cameras being set up and the shoot beginning.
This week, however, Paula Malcomson - who played Trixie on the show - has been chatting about the long-awaited film, and her character's place in the latest script she's read.
“It’s a big Valentine to Trixie and Al,” the actress explained to TVLine. “The...

Richard Ciupka’s unfairly maligned 1983 horror film Curtains was screened recently as part of the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Scary Movies 7 exhibition that also included screenings of Lucky McKee’s new film All Cheerleaders Die, Michele Soavi’s highly regarded Cemetery Man (1994), Eli Roth’s new film The Green Inferno, John D. Hancock’s ultra creepy Let’s Scare Jessica to Death (1971), the New York premiere of Clive Barker’s 1990 film Nightbreed - the Cabal Cut, and Peter Carter’s brilliant Rituals (1977), better known as The Creeper, which stars Hal Holbrook and Lawrence Dane in a film that is clearly influenced by John Boorman’s Deliverance (1971) but easily stands on its own as a strong piece of independent filmmaking.
Appearing in person at the Curtains screening was actress Lesleh Donaldson who played Christie Burns, the ice skater in the film.

A new Florida rule stops felons from voting long after they've served their time. Is it tough-on-crime posturing-or a way to keep Obama from winning the state in 2012?
The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world, with one out of every 32 Americans locked up or on probation or parole at any given time. But some lawmakers think that's not quite harsh enough.

Prisoner reentry was turned into a political football in Florida on Wednesday when newly elected Governor Rick Scott, at the urging of State Attorney General Pam Bondi, swiftly changed the rules governing when felons' rights are restored in the state after they're released from prison. Moving with speed characteristic of tin-horn dictators in banana republics, Scott and the Florida cabinet imposed a five-year wait period on restoring many rights to individuals convicted of nonviolent crimes,...
