We’re not geometry whizzes or anything, but we think we may have cracked the outcome of All American: Homecoming’s central love triangle.
Martin Bobb-Semple, who plays Lando Johnson on the CW drama, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming third season, according to our sister site Deadline. As fans of the show will recall, Season 2 ended with Simone choosing between love interests Lando and Damon (Peyton Alex Smith), but viewers didn’t get to see who she was speaking to when she declared, “I know who I want. It’s you.”

The CW has culled its lineup of scripted shows. Since being acquired by Nexstar, the network has canceled series such as Kung Fu and Walker: Independence. As budget cuts hit The CW's returning original programming, several stars will not be on the shows next season as series regulars.
All American: Homecoming is the latest show to announce its changes ahead of next season.
According to Deadline, Peyton Alex Smith, who plays Damon Sims on the series, will not be back as a series regular.
If you watch All American: Homecoming online, you know Damon has been pivotal since All American: Homecoming Season 1 Episode 1.
While casting changes were expected, it's surprising Smith is one of the actors to have their contract changed.
There's no confirmation whether the actor will stage a comeback in a recurring or guest capacity.
Time will tell, but hopefully, he will appear on-screen to wrap up Damon's storyline if the actor decides against accepting the contract.
Additionally, Kelly Jenrette, who plays Bringston University president Amara Patterson, will return as a recurring player.

Update: Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW said that Superman & Lois, Gotham Knights and All American: Homecoming were still on the bubble.
“We’re still looking at those analyzing these shows… and looking at our budgets in 2024. We love all those shows, and they all do very well for us in different ways. We will be making decisions on those probably sooner than later,” he said.

Schwartz said Superman & Lois was one of its “strongest” shows.
However, he warned that these shows were expensive and that The CW didn’t have streaming rights, which was “frustrating”.
Original: No decisions have been made on The CW’s three outstanding drama series Superman & Lois, Gotham Knights and All American: Homecoming.
It comes after the network unveiled its fall schedule this morning that was heavy on Canadian series and unscripted formats alongside returner...

The first season of CW’s All American: Homecoming is currently streaming on Netflix, not HBO Max as was previously announced.
The June streaming schedule for HBO Max initially listed June 22 as the launch date for the first season of the All American spinoff, but it never appeared. It is available for streaming on Netflix, which also is the home for all seasons of mothership series All American.
All American: Homecoming is the first CW show to go to Netflix following the 2019 expiration of the network’s deal to have the full seasons of every series automatically land at the streamer. After the deal ended, it was assumed that CW shows coming from the CBS half of CW would head to Paramount+, while Warner Bros TV-produced shows would launch on HBO Max.
All American is one of the most popular acquired titles on Netflix, and the top performing CW series.

Exclusive: We’ll be seeing more of Nathaniel Hardin in the second season of All American: Homecoming. Rhoyle Ivy King, who heavily recurred as the character in Season 1, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming season.
A spinoff of CW’s All American, written by Nkechi “Nk” Okoro, Season 2 will continue to delve into the lives of students and athletes at a distinguished Hbcu, and the struggles these young adults face while trying to find their footing.
King’s Nathaniel is the non-binary, gender-fluid personification of fly Af. Equally masculine and feminine, Nate brings another kind of hustle to Bringston that isn’t found on a field or court – she’s a pre-law student, a thriving stylist and loyal above all. Peyton Alex Smith showed off his acting skills and truly shined when given a meaty storyline.
Damon Sims has evolved into an all-around team player, and All American: Homecoming Season 1 Episode 3 showed how much he respects others now.
Let's discuss how Damon has changed from a spoiled baseball player to a team player who wanted to honor his teammates' legacy.
Damon has tried to get out of his past image. When he suggested bringing sponsorships for the team, he wanted it to be for all the guys, not just him. Unfortunately, some sponsors wouldn't even look at Bringston because of the cheating scandal.
Others would only talk to him because of his mom. All of the sponsors were connected to his mother and past career. Damon didn't want his mom involved with the sponsorships, partly because he wanted to do one thing himself and knew the coach wouldn't be happy.

All American fans get ready, because its spinoff series, All American: Homecoming, is almost here! The new Hbcu-set show, which will follow season four of All American, centers baseball superstar Damon Sims (Peyton Alex Smith) from Chicago and professional tennis hopeful Simone Hicks (Geffri Maya) from Los Angeles as they pursue their athletic dreams at the Hbcu Bringston University in Atlanta. Along the way, we'll also see star athletes as they navigate sports at an elite level, life as young adults, and, of course, plenty of drama.
The Hbcu setting was a very intentional decision by showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, who told Entertainment Weekly, "The LA version of Black culture isn't necessarily the same as New York, which is not the same as the South, which is not the same as the Midwest. When I started looking at the best way to speak...
