Michael Imperioli may be best known for playing Christopher Moltisanti on the TV series The Sopranos, but he has over 100 other screen acting credits and several writing credits (including multiple episodes of The Sopranos). His first writing credit came on 1999 crime drama Summer of Sam (watch it Here), which was directed by Spike Lee… and during an interview for the documentary Ghosts of the Chelsea Hotel (and Other Rock & Roll Stories), Imperioli revealed that he visited a witch and used otherworldly means in an effort to get Summer of Sam into production!
Scripted by Imperioli, Lee, and Victor Colicchio, Summer of Sam has the following synopsis: During the summer of 1977, a killer known as the Son of Sam keeps all of New York City on edge with a series of brutal murders. The philandering Vinny unwittingly almost becomes a victim of the psychopath, and soon he and numerous people in his orbit — including his wife,...

Michael Imperioli says he took supernatural steps to help him materialize his 1999 movie “Summer of Sam.”
The “Sopranos” and “White Lotus” actor was living at the Chelsea Hotel at the time and, in a new documentary about the notoriously haunted locale, recalls meeting with a witch in order to push the crime thriller “through the studio system” in Hollywood.
“I had just begun writing ‘Summer of Sam’ with Victor Colicchio — we wrote that script together,” Imperioli says in an exclusive clip from “Ghosts of the Chelsea Hotel.” “I really wanted to get it made. So I met somebody who was living here who was a witch, who said she could help me get it made, but it wasn’t going to happen the way I thought it would. I was very ambitious at the time and wanted to get that made, so resorted to tapping into otherworldly means to get it through the studio system....

Christina Bowden (Lexi Johnson) is an elementary school teacher with aspirations to adopt. The paperwork is filed, the young teen (Willow McCarthy’s Lisa) targeted is on-board, and it seems the last remnants of Christina’s volatile past have been repurposed for good. Kidnapped and raised in a shack by her captor (Kaye Tuckerman’s Elizabeth Caulfield), fate somehow allowed her the second chance her four “sisters” tragically never received. She wants to therefore be a lightning rod for change in the community by using that experience from two decades ago to better understand and care for a new generation struggling to deal with similar psychological trauma. Being the lone survivor of a brutal ordeal gives her insight many would-be suburban parents can’t even fathom. And she’s ready to officially move forward.
Writer-director Michael Morrissey has other ideas, though. Rather than give Christina her happy ending, he concocts...

"I don't think you understand what happened here...?" Quiver Distribution has unveiled an official trailer for The Girl Who Got Away, a new serial killer horror-thriller from filmmaker Michael Morrissey (of Boy Wonder). Set in 2018, twenty years after a serial killer was caught and imprisoned, the story is about the "one who got away" now all grown up. When the killer escapes from prison, she goes after the final victim. Only one, Christina Bowden, managed to get away with her life, the other four were found buried... Caulfield escapes from prison and launches a deadly pursuit to finish what she began. Christina's seemingly perfect life comes crashing down around her as the secrets of her past come back to haunt her. The film stars Lexi Johnson, Chukwudi Iwuji, Kaye Tuckerman, Willow McCarthy, Ned Van Zandt, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Geoffrey Cantor. This does look extra creepy, much more horrifying than it seems at first.

Ever since its publication in 1966, Tom Pendelton’s novel “The Iron Orchard” has been embraced as a cult favorite by many movers and shakers in the Texas oil industry — and, of course, by many more who thrill to accounts of success and excess in that storied realm — largely because of its brutally authentic yet unmistakably sympathetic portrait of a West Texas wildcatter who traverses a dramatic arc of rags to riches to really bad behavior.
Not surprisingly, there have been a few previous attempts to adapt the book into a Hollywood-huge movie. (Paul Newman and George Peppard were among the names floated for those unmade epics.) But, appropriately enough for a tale about a maverick oil man in the Lone Star State, it has taken an independent production outfit and Texas-tied filmmakers to finally bring the project to the screen. After a tour of regional festivals, the project opened first in its home state Feb.

After a brief two week break, The Blacklist is back. This week’s episode an intriguing entry that moved along the main storyline concerning the Fulcrum and the newly branded “Cabal” and managed to do so entertainingly while keeping Raymond Reddington relatively sidelined. Could the FBI heroes of the show manage to save the day without the not-so-gentle nudging and snide commentary from Red? That was the question of the week, as The Blacklist aimed to provide answers while not really giving up too many of its secrets. The greater picture – the goals of the Cabal, Agent Keen’s importance to Red, and the true nature of their relationship – is still up for debate.
In case you had forgotten, Red has been shot! The Director, tired of Red’s nonsense, called his bluff and had a hit team dispatched to eliminate him, just as Liz was about to turn over...

Aloha from Oahu. Let’s recap Hawaii Five-o Episode 1×02 “Ohana”
One week after Hawaii Five-o’s pilot aired, the second episode starts where the first left off; with a gunfight. Seriously, if this awesome action stuff keeps up I might never stop watching this show.
We open with Roland Lowry (Steve Cohen), an Ex-nsa specialist, with an unbreakable looking briefcase in the seat next to him, being escorted down Ala Moana Blvd to a top-secret meeting. Mid-way through a phone conversation with his son Evan (Colin Ford) his car is t-boned by a white van, flipping Roland’s SUV upside down. Gunman from the van kill Roland’s bodyguards (hired from Braddah’s Private Security. Hilarious.) and kidnap him. We are left with Evan crying out to his father over the phone.
Cue iconic Hawaii Five-o theme song. I want to thank Jon Favreau for convincing the...
