Colton Haynes, who will next star in Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story: Cult,” took Hollywood to task in a series of tweets, saying he has lost jobs due to his sexual orientation. “Hollywood is so f—– up. So much of the focus is on your personal life & has nothing to do with the talent you have to bring to the table,” he wrote on Tuesday. “Thank god for Ryan Murphy, Greg Berlanti, & Jeff Davis. They believe gay actors are more than just their personal lives.” In a followup tweet, Haynes wrote, “So disappointed in how Hollywood cant understand that.

If there ever was an era for Improv and stand up comedians to shine like the top of the Chrysler building, it is now. For all those who have grown up with cable and have followed ‘Whose line is it anyway’, we have watched the show grow, and then shrink a bit , and then grow some more and eventually evolve to what is now one of the longest running comedy shows ever on television. The show has had some amazing comedic talent and one of the better looking funny men (Sorry Carey, kudos to your weight loss though!) that

Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump told reporters that he had approved a “targeted military strike” on an airfield in Syria from which a chemical attack was launched on civilians earlier this week.

First it was a novel, then an acclaimed Swedish movie, then a surprisingly classy English-language remake, and then two separate stage productions. Now John Ajvide Lindqvist's Let The Right One In is heading for yet another adaptation, this time as a TV series for the American cable network A&E. Brandon Boyce (Apt Pupil, Wicker Park) will write the new take, with Jeff Davis (MTV's Teen Wolf) acting as showrunner. As previously reported, TV Line chatted up showrunner, Jeff Davis, to get the new spoiler rundown for the upcoming season 4. and in this last segment, he revealed some of the crazy shit that aunt jaguar Kate will be up to. It turns out that she will be in control of some new enemies on the scene, called Berserkers, and she'll also be the central focus of the show. Jeff told them when asked about what Kate's deal is: "That’s one of the season’s central mysteries, and one of the cool things about Kate is that she’s still learning about herself. The Berserkers new enemies this season are in her control, but not even she knows why. They’re protective of her, and they essentially do her bidding. But Kate’s real motivation has always been her family, and she believes she’s still part of the family,...

A review of tonight's "Louie" coming up just as soon as I fart for science... "In the Woods" puts the various arcs of season 4 on hold for an epic-length (without commercials, the "episode" runs 66-plus minutes) flashback to Louie's adolescence, as catching Lily smoking pot reminds him of one of the dumbest episodes of his life. Louis C.K. grew up in the era of the "After School Special," well-meaning but often unintentionally hilarious stories trying to warn kids away from drugs, drinking and all the other tomfoolery teenagers get up to. (Here's an excerpt from "Stoned," produced the year before "In the Woods" is set, starring Scott Baio as a straight-laced student whose life falls apart after he experiments with the marijuana.) And though C.K. has much greater command of tone — and respect for his audience's intelligence — than the makers of those specials did, there's always a danger...

True Detective, Season 1, Episode 6: “The Secret Fate of All Life”
Written by Nic Pizzolatto
Directed by Cary Fukunaga
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on HBO
With just two episodes left in the first season, “Haunted Houses” is the most straightforward instalment in the series so far. This sixth episode is the one that most resembles a typical cop show, complete with with a hard-nosed police sergeant drilling his two detectives and demanding that Cohle hand over his gun and badge, and a hot tempered officer (Marty) beating two prisoners who were caught sleeping with his daughter. We find out exactly why Hart and Cohle had a falling out in 2002, and exactly why Marty’s marriage finally fell apart. “Haunted Houses” is the weakest of the bunch but don’t’ worry, next week is a vast improvement.

True Detective, Season 1, Episode 5: “The Secret Fate of All Life”
Written by Nic Pizzolatto
Directed by Cary Fukunaga
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on HBO
The climax of episode 4 of True Detective, titled “Who Goes There’” is a feat of technical mastery that would sit proudly along side the work of a master director like Alfonso Cauron. Cary Fukunaga and his Dop Adam Arkapaw have clearly forged an excellent partnership. The big showpiece sequence - a single long tracking shot — which lasts a shade under six minutes – is a masterclass of filmmaking. The ways Fukunaga places, moves, and times his cast and camera to be at the right place at a precise time is brilliant, and a feat accomplished without the aid of post production magic. Every episode of True Detective has so far exceeded its predecessor in terms of quality, and as we pass the half-way mark, we...

Community creator Dan Harmon’s full-speed, cross-country tour (one city per day) for his live podcast, "Harmontown," stopped at Brooklyn’s Bell House Wednesday night, and his old friend Jason Sudeikis joined him and co-host Jeff Davis for nearly the whole show. But another old pal whom Harmon had contacted to cameo was a cryptic no-show: Chevy Chase. After Harmon and Sudeikis tried to decipher Chase’s odd response to the invite, they decided to do the next best thing to having him: crank-call him live. It’s important to note something up front for those who don’t keep up with "Harmontown" and whose last memories of Harmon and Chase’s relationship were of leaked, angry, profanity-packed voice mails: Since both have left Community, their relationship seems to have become much less antagonistic now that it is no longer centered on Harmon delivering scripts to Chase that he does not deem funny.

Last night, Vulture reported that Sony and NBC hired new showrunners for Community, officially ousting creator Dan Harmon, who seems to be taking it all rather in stride. Exhibit A: this message he posted to his Tumblr, Dan Harmon Poops. A few hours ago, I landed in Los Angeles, turned on my phone, and confirmed what you already know. Sony Pictures Television is replacing me as showrunner on Community, with two seasoned fellows that I’m sure are quite nice — actually, I have it on good authority they’re quite nice, because they once created a show and cast my good friend Jeff Davis on it, so how bad can they be. He's referring to his replacements, David Guarascio and Moses Port, who wrote Happy Endings and Aliens in America.Though Harmon was clearly expecting the move, there were still some long-simmering tensions between him and the show's producers that needed airing out.

News broke Friday evening (May 18) that "Community" creator Dan Harmon is out as the showrunner and will be replaced by David Guarascio and Moses Port, who have written for ABC's "Happy Endings."
There was no official word as to why his contract was discontinued, but his feud with star Chevy Chase recently played out very publicly. It has also been no secret that Sony thinks the show should appeal to a larger audience.
Harmon took to his tumblr around midnight Pt with his reaction to the news:

It’s only been about five minutes that Community fans were able to catch their breathe from the triple-episode Season 3 finale extravaganza with a beam of hope that Season 4, though abbreviated, would be one step closer to #sixseasonsandamovie. There were rumblings that there would be a big change between seasons, one that might affect the on-screen chemistry of the cast -rumors of Chevy Chase leaving-or worse yet, creator and showrunner, Dan Harmon would be replaced. Surely everything would work itself out, right? Because viewers got their fourth season and the last three episodes were incredibly funny, right?
