In this new trailer for the upcoming Weird Al Yankovic biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story we see that the retelling of Al’s rise to fame will be tinged with hilarious lines, great concerts centered by Radcliffe, and run-ins with other superstars like Madonna, played by Evan Rachel Wood.
Al’s manager Dr. Demento (Rainn Wilson) cracks to the parody musician in what appears to be a hospital scene that “I think Madonna is a bad influence on you, no offense.”
Rachel Wood and Radcliffe seem to be playing parody-level portrayals of the respective stars with the energy on display, but there still is potential for heart and authenticity here well.
Along with some partying, tripping and crashing scenes, we see one of Al’s first song ideas for “My Bologna,” a parody of “My Sharona,” a couple of stages of his childhood with young actors that appear equally...

Ilana Glazer is the latest celebrity to come forward with her own stories of sexual harassment.
The co-creator and star of hit Comedy Central show Broad City took to Instagram on Tuesday to use the #MeToo hashtag, which has become a rallying cry that thousands of women — and men — have been using on social media to share personal stories of sexual harassment and assault in the wake of numerous allegations brought against Harvey Weinstein.
“I’ve been sexually harassed countless times,” wrote Glazer, 30. “In middle school, in high school — by more teachers than students! At work as a waitress, at work as a showrunner!

The SAG Awards were last night, and though the red carpet was many things, you certainly couldn’t call it boring. Stars wore their activism on their sleeves (literally), opted for bold motifs including stripes, florals and “creature couture” over safe solid colors and experimented with colorful eye makeup and serious hair jewelry. With all that excitement, it was practically impossible to pick our favorite looks from the many major moments to choose from – but because we are serious about the business of best dressed, we soldiered on. Below, check out our picks for top looks of the night, which...

The 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards are here. But before Hollywood’s biggest stars dazzle on the red carpet, they spend hours (even days) getting their hair, makeup and wardrobes prepared. And of course, they share those moments on Instagram, giving us a look at all the bare-faced, robe-wearing action before they jump in their limos and head to the show. See how it all went down, below.

Damien Chazelle's "La La Land" made history at the 74th Annual Golden Globes winning all 7 nominations including Best Picture Musical/Comedy! The film won Best Actor (Ryan Gosling), Actress (Emma Stone), Director, Screenplay, Score, and Song! Previously, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was the record-holder for winning 6/6 and both "Doctor Zhivago" and "A Star is Born" 5 for 5.
A big congrats to Chazelle and "La La Land!"
The biggest upset for me? Natalie Portman's "Jackie" performance was overshadowed by Isabelle Huppert in "Elle." I thought Portman, wigs and make-up included, embodied the role of our former First Lady!
In the TV category, "The Night Manager" was the big winner taking home three awards (mostly for performance for Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, and Hugh Laurie), followed by "The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" and "The Crown" each with two.

Before they can get to producing one of the great dramatic stories of all time, the producers of "Les Miserables" are reportedly hosting one of the great casting dramas of recent memory.
Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper's big screen version of the musical, based on Victor Hugo's great book, is searching for an actress to play Eponine, and according to the NY Post, there are some big names going out for the role. Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Rachel Wood, the tabloid says, have all auditioned, with Michele supposedly "knocking it out of the park."
Eyebrows are undoubtedly raised at Swift's inclusion in the casting call; she has very limited acting experience, mostly limited to her part in "Valentine's Day" and her music videos.

There is good reason why conspiracy theorists have so much fun with the Abraham Lincoln/JFK question (based on some spooky similarities in both men’s presidencies and assassinations) – aside from the kind of spooky facts that would have Oliver Stone exploding with apoplectic outrage – the story is also one overflowing with intrigue. But rather than focus on the events of the assassination, or even at the wider influence Lincoln had as an innovative leader and civil rights exponent, Robert Redford‘s The Conspirator – the first feature from the American Film Company – focuses on a comparatively smaller, but no less important story in Mary Surratt’s trial as a co-conspirator in the plot to assassinate Lincoln.
Surratt (played by Robin Wright) was implicated in the plot after she gave rooms to John Wilkes Booth and his cohorts (including her own son, John), which ultimately lead to her arrest, imprisonment and trial.

The Ides of March Directed by George Clooney Written by George Clooney, Grant Heslov and Beau Willimon Starring Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood The Ides of March takes a fascinating, cynical look at the cogs in a well-oiled political machine, namely a presidential campaign shaped by public perception and political pundits. George Clooney plays Governor Mike Morris, a charismatic politician who eschews foreign oil dependence and war and espouses the value of job creation and free education. To the disillusioned masses of America, Morris is the real deal, a beacon of hope and change. Sound familiar? Morris is trying to win the Ohio Democratic primary, which will effectively make or break the remainder of his campaign. Stephen Myers (Ryan Gosling) is an idealistic campaign staffer who buys completely into Morris’s image, and believes that he is making the world...

The Ides Of March is exactly what we've come to expect from Clooney: a solid, classically made, political contemporary drama. It's got a subtle shakespearian twist, a sharp screenplay and a strong cast. (Ok, Evan Rachel Wood is always Evans Rachel Wood but, dammit! she's always good). Ryan Gosling is undoubtedly best in show with a perfectly nuanced character arc. He sparkles most in a couple of tasty scenes with Wood. But poor Marisa Tomei is soooo underused (again!

August 18, 2010: The Goth rocker Marilyn Manson and the 22-year-old ‘Wrestler’ actress Rachel Wood have recently called off the engagement. Marilyn was seen getting over their break-up by partying in La this weekend with a cluster of mystery women.
The couple has had a rocky relationship ever since they were first hooked up, 4 years back in 2006. This was also the time when the shocker rocker split from his then wife Dita Von Teese. The pair of Manson and Wood split up for the first time in October 2008 before temporarily reuniting in the month of February last year.

Eccentric singer Marilyn Manson is back on the market. According to People, Manson has called off his engagement to actress Evan Rachel Wood last week. "They just broke off their engagement, and he needed a night out with friends," a source told the site about Manson's Saturday night, August 14 outing at L.A.'s Stk and next door club Boudoir.
On why Manson and "True Blood" star Rachel Wood ended their engagement, an insider told Us Magazine, "They fought a lot." The insider went on, "It was always on and off. He's a creative mind so not the easiest person to be in a relationship with."
Manson and Rachel Wood had been in on/off relationship. The couple, who first met at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, began dating in 2006 after Manson separated from his wife Dita Von Teese. Manson and Rachel Wood then split in 2008 only to reconcile shortly after.

After an infinite number of delays, the Wonderful White-eyed Webster will be swinging his tunes on Broadway at last.
Why am I not thrilled? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because the idea of a Spider-Man musical is stupid. Maybe because the Superman musical sucked. Maybe because Spider-Man 3 was too much of a musical for comfort. Or maybe because it’s called Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.
Directed by Julie Taymor (The Magic Flute, Salome, Titus Andronicus and, oh yeah, The Lion King) and written by Taymor and Glen Berger, the Spider-Man musical will sport toe-tapping tunes by Bono and The Edge, evidently because Elton John was busy. It stars Reeve Carney in the lead, with Jennifer Damiano as Mary-Jane and Patrick Page as Norman Osborn and, of course, The Green Goblin.
What, you were expecting the otherwise unburdened Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Willem Dafoe? No such luck.

The 1980s made another comeback at this year's fashion weeks, where make-up artists were instructed to keep eye make-up slightly messy, even lived in, as if the models had done it themselves. Even if you haven’t watched True Blood, you’ve seen Carrie Preston before.
Carrie has the remarkable ability to transform herself – her looks and mannerisms – in each role she does. She’s been in Duplicity and My Best Friends Wedding with Julia Roberts. Doubt, Vicky Christina Barcelona and even an episode of Sex and the City that I totally remem
ber her in. She even played Ben Linus’ (her husband, the great Michael Emerson) mother on an episode of Lost! I could go on but my fingers will get tired from all the typing.
She’s currently filming season 3 of True Blood and she took some time out to talk to me about Broadway, how she prepares for a role and yes, True Blood.
So, you’re from Georgia and you got started doing plays as a kid?
Yeah, I’m one of those, like I like to say I’m a “lifer.

Pajiba is reporting that James McAvoy is attached to play James Bond creator/author, Ian Fleming, in a big screen biopic. The project is currently hunting for a director, though Matt Brown penned the script based on Andrew Lycett’s biography of Fleming.
Fleming had a life and personality that mirrored his famous creation. By his own admission he always drank too much, smoked too much and loved too many women — all of which contributed to an early death at only 56 years old.
Fleming came from wealthy Scottish banking family and was a world traveler from a very early age. During World War II, he was recruited into the Royal Navy Intelligence where he organized plans like Operation Goldeneye. His military background gave him a wealth of ideas for his Bond novels and he eventually retired to Jamaica where he penned his first Bond novel, Casino Royale.
