After a high-octane finish in Episode 2 of Batman: The Enemy Within, that saw The Pact take on the Agency, we had to believe that Telltale Games would keep up that momentum with a solid 3rd episode, and boy did they ever. Episode 3, The Fractured Mask, has released and we took our time playing through it multiple playthroughs to give you a complete run down of what may just be the best episode yet! Myself and our avid Telltale Gamer La are here to share our experiences from a wild 3rd episode.
Which Pact member did you choose to leave behind in Episode 2?
M: Initially, I chose to leave Harley behind, mainly because I didn’t know what they meant by “Head Off”. I picked “Head Off Bane” only to find out it meant to fight alongside but leave the other behind. I ended up going through it again, choosing to...

This uneven effort from Arrow crams about every holiday episode trope it can into 44 minutes. Turkey puns, a head-tilting cameo, and two highly anticipated developments. Happy sweeps, folks! Ultimately, the positives like Thea's return and seeing Oliver back in the hood were good enough to keep things moving, and holiday episodes are graded on a curve, right?
Oliver was taken down a peg. Everything about his arrest was pretty bogus, from his perp walk occurring during a Thanksgiving food drive, to the iPad they used to scan his fingerprints. Would the scrum of reporters ever be treated to both the arrest and booking? Absolutely not.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had a sweet, adults-only date night at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday night. Instead of attending the American Music Awards nearby, the couple sat courtside to watch the home team take on the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center. The cameras caught John planting a smooch on Chrissy's head as they took in the game - we're really hoping they ended up on the Kiss Cam at some point! And while we so love getting to see Chrissy and John out on the town together, we also would have loved an appearance from their 1-year-old daughter, Luna, who recently stole the show during Chrissy's "73 Questions" interview with Vogue. A couple was inspired to show the world that beauty can still be found on the Caribbean island they call home weeks after it was decimated by the Category 5 winds of Hurricane Irma and Maria.
The one-two punch of Hurricane Irma, then Maria just two weeks later, left structures toppled and trees ripped from the ground across the U.S. Virgin Islands when they smashed into the Caribbean in September. Residents of the islands were without electricity, gas or water in the wake of the storms, and today, locals are adjusting to a “new normal” as they strive to rebuild.

The house lights dim, the sun rises on its first performance, and a powerful voice belts out: “Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba,” the first lyrics of “Circle of Life.” Lindiwe Dlamini, a member of the ensemble dressed in a white dress, holding African bird puppets in either hand with another on her head, nervously waits in the wings as she readies to take the stage in the opening number of Disney’s Broadway adaptation of The Lion King, the 1994 animated hit film about a lion cub who overcomes adversity and accepts responsibility for his pride and land to become king of the jungle.
“You didn’t know how the audience was going to receive it, [but] the energy was beyond belief,” Dlamini recalls to Et. When Hurricane Irma, a category 5 storm with winds gusts up to 200 miles per hour, hit the U.S. Virgin Islands on Sept. 6, every update seemed worse than the last. Residents who’d hoped the hurricane would turn north faced facts, began collecting supplies and hunkering down. One of those families was Ryan and Tiffany Moore, their two young sons Conner and Dylan and their dog, Tug.
When the Moores ventured outside a day later, “It looked like an atomic bomb went off,” Tiffany Moore tells People. “It was a total war zone. the roofs of two houses below ours were now in our yard.

Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean last week with ferocious Category 5 winds that decimated much of the area’s tropical islands and killed at least 38 people.
Residents of the U.S. Virgin Islands—along with those from Puerto Rico, Cuba, St. Martin and the British Virgin Islands—are now in the process of rebuilding in the aftermath of the historic storm, which has left much of the Caribbean uninhabitable. Many are still without electricity, gas, or water, and will need continuous aid for the foreseeable future—and some residents say they feel forgotten by the U.S. mainland after the storm turned its crosshairs toward Florida.

As the film that bridges the two decades of Mario Bava’s output as a director, 1970’s Hatchet for the Honeymoon feels strangely trapped between two worlds. It contains the traces of gothic horror with which Bava made his name, as well as elements of the supernatural and the psychosexual leanings of the giallo genre he more or less helped create. At the same time, it’s steeped in dazzling colors and psychedelia—it feels seedier than his usual output even though it’s far less graphic than some of his other works.

How did Kiss Me Deadly come to be restored? The real question should be, how did filmdom lose track of its original ending in the first place? Savant uncovers evidence that may explain when, and why, United Artists mutilated the finish of Robert Aldrich’s apocalyptic film noir.
(Note: The images below with text can be enlarged for reading, just click on them.)
Before home video the final home for Hollywood films was Television. Robert Aldrich’s 1955 Kiss Me Deadly never saw a theatrical reissue, and it dropped out of major TV visibility in 1962. I saw the documentation in United Artists’ legal folder on the film. To secure capital to launch more movies, Robert Aldrich sold all of his ‘Associates and Aldrich’ pictures back to UA after their original releases were concluded. More papers showed Kiss Me Deadly being included in at least two TV syndication packages, and then each time pointedly removed.

When I think of some of my favorite B films of the 1970s, my mind tends to drift towards the works of the late filmmaker William Girdler. This man made nine movies in six years before his tragic death in ’78 at the age of thirty; chief among them Abby (’74), Grizzly (’76), and Day of the Animals (’77). Now, quantity obviously doesn’t equal quality, and he made a few outright stinkers. But he was exciting to me because he became a better, more confident filmmaker with each film; this is especially evident with his final release, The Manitou (1978), your typical ancient Native American little person demon growing out of the back of a woman’s neck who fights the heroes in space with laser beams kind of flick. You know the type.
Independently produced, The Manitou was released by Avco Embassy in late April, with a June rollout across North America, and worldwide the following year.

What an extraordinary hour of television.
Underground is a thrilling, emotional journey that tugs at the heart-strings and deftly captures the human experience. This installment was no exception.
Underground Season 2 Episode 2 gave us twists, revelations, and truly poignant moments. It's not often that a show can successfully pull off making you laugh, cry, hold your breath, reevaluate and self-reflect all within one night.
The arrangement of this installment was especially great. The way it flowed from one story to the next through the lens of each character made each arc feel like a chapter in a larger story.
I'm enjoying the glimpses into Daniel's life. He comes across as a simple family man with a lovely family. Then it hits you; life was far from simple for a black man during the 19th century.
Daniel was so proud because he was able to teach himself how to read and write.

The episode opens with Nilaa sitting at a table inside a holding room. Rebecca enters the room and sits across from Nilaa. She goes on to explain that they have discovered doctored video of her and that all evidence pointing to Nilaa as assisting the terrorists was falsified. Nilaa is free, but she worries that the damage is done; that everyone on the campaign has already judged her. Rebecca tells her it was John who revealed the doctored video. As Rebecca talks to Nilaa, John Donovan stands at the widow back at the compound looking out. He watches as his father Henry is taken into custody, having admitted to John that he gave the terrorists the names of the now deceased members of Eric’s Ranger team.
While Keith is trying to track Eric, Rebecca plays it off as if she has no idea what Eric is up to.

We open to Senator John Donovan questioning Nilaa about her involvement with the potential sleeper cell attacks. She has no idea who could be involved but swears it does not involve her. Watching from another room, Rebecca receives a call from Keith, who updates her on the loss of the list. Rebecca finishes the call, enters the room and informs them they are taking Nilaa to CTU for further interrogation. After their departure, John confides in his father Henry on how he feels about everything.
Angered over the loss of the Usb drive to Bin Khalid's terrorists, Eric Carter takes out his frustration on Ben. Did anybody else look around the house for an old can of paint to slap onto a nearby wall while watching 24: Legacy Season 1 Episode 4?
I figured it would have been a decent competition, with a leg up to paint drying, since it doesn't come with any preconceived notions like terrorists or incredible action sequences.
For all the hype surrounding the return of the franchise and the exemplary cast, 24: Legacy kind of sucks.
I wish there was another way to put it, but none of the stars are being put to good use, and I hope like hell there is an editor to be fired somewhere and writers I normally admire aren't proud of what's airing.
When the very best moment of the hour is a character who is supposed to be intelligent pulling a Dennis the Menace-like behavior, well, there are issues.

If you’ve seen “John Wick,” you know the legend: One time, the eponymous hitman (Keanu Reeves) killed three men in a bar with a pencil. “With a fucking pencil,” growls a Russian crime boss played by Peter Stormare in the opening minutes of “John Wick: Chapter 2,” moments before the unstoppable killing machine nicknamed “The Boogeyman” bursts through the door. Before Stormare can finish the anecdote, one of his lackeys interrupts him. “I know,” he says. “I’ve heard this one before.”
In the “John Wick” universe of action-movie pastiche, even the villains are fans of his work. And who could blame them? Overseen by the original “John Wick” team of director Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad, the new movie contains the best ingredients of the 2014 original with a fresh set of outrageous showdowns, and even improves on its commitment to cartoonish mayhem in self-serious clothing. Well, wow. Sherlock Season 4 Episode 3 was intense. There were a lot of revelations, twists and callbacks, and it was one of the best character studies this show has offered to date. Again, there were fantastic performances from all involved.
That said, Euros' story, or the execution of it, might have been too much for Sherlock's own good. The plot itself left us as many questions as it did answers, which makes it much less satisfying than if it had been a simpler but more compact story.
Let's start with what was great about Sherlock Season 4 Episode 3. This installment was one of the best ones to allow us to dive into who these people are, who they have become. Practically every moment, every scene revealed something about these characters.

Well, this was a mind-trip. Sherlock Season 4 Episode 2 made my head spin, and I loved it. The uncertainties, twists and turns made for a packed and intriguing episode.
The writing was fascinating, in the way that it made every single thing questionable. One of the repeated motifs in this episode was "it is what it is," but really, nothing was what it was.
It's amazing how much misdirection there was leading us to the twist that was Euros, the secret Holmes sibling. I certainly didn't expect there to be a Holmes sister, especially after all the references to Sherrinford, the name of the eldest Holmes brother in the Arthur Conan Doyle stories.
I watched the episode twice back-to-back. Even on re-watch, it was really easy to miss that Sherlock's visitor was the same person as John's therapist, who was the same person as John's transit admirer. It was also...

Well, co-creator Steven Moffat called Sunday’s Sherlock “the darkest one we’ve ever done”… and he wasn’t kidding, was he?
Season 4’s second episode, “The Lying Detective,” got incredibly grim at times, thanks to philanthropist-turned-killer Culverton Smith, played by Toby Jones. But it also gave us a much-needed truce between Sherlock and John after last week’s unpleasantness… and a last-minute twist that could have huge implications for the legendary sleuth going forward.

Blade Runner is a modern classic. Based on legendary writer Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", the first film that was released in 1982 was a visual spectacle that set a new precedent for the sci-fi genre. Directed by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner is still widely considered one of the best films of all time, and to get a sequel more than twenty years later is a surprise that we've been excited about ever since it was first announced.

Keanu Reeves is forced to come out of retirement as a hitman in John Wick: Chapter 2.
Attempting to put his hitman days behind him, Wick’s former associate demands he complete one last task – if he refuses, there will be deadly consequences. The mission has one goal, take control of an international assassins’ guild – sounds easy enough.
The mission takes John to Rome where he is set to face off against the most lethal killers on the planet. The last time we saw Reeves as the deadly hitman was in 2014's John Wick where he was a man who never missed a shot, but does he still have the hitman instincts in him?

As part of my post duty orders here at We Are Movie Geeks it is my privilege to shine a light on movies that never quite found an audience, that may have slipped through the cracks. Movies that got very little or n o theatrical release, not much publicity or went straight to video (very common these days.) Such a movie is Jack The Bear . I can recall being vaguely aware of the movie when it was released in 1993, it did play in theaters but I don’t recall much advertising devoted to it. In that time frame I either was too busy or too broke to take in a movie, usually both.
In Jack The Bear we have sort of a male version of Mermaids. An all male family with an eccentric Father John Leary (Danny DeVito ) who keeps moving his family around the country. John makes his living as an entertainer,...

It was early in the development of The Americans that the head of FX told the show’s creator what his series was really about — and was absolutely right. Joe Weisberg had planned to generate drama in the fake marriage between deep cover spies Philip and Elizabeth Jennings on ideological grounds: Philip was beginning to feel too comfortable in America, while Elizabeth stayed true to her Mother Russian roots. Then in a meeting with FX executives, FX CEO John Landgraf proposed adding another layer to things. “John had the idea that it would be very powerful and effective if Philip were really more in love with Elizabeth than Elizabeth were with Philip,” Weisberg said. “And you know how central that has become to the whole story of the show and the marriage. (The ideological argument) seemed like a good solid idea for what would create tension in the marriage, but...

Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín certainly isn’t beating around the bush with his latest film, Jackie, a strange, refreshingly cynical, and unexpectedly cerebral account of former First Lady’s Jacqueline Kennedy’s actions in the immediate aftermath of John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. It’s one of three films to be released by the prolific director in 2016 (alongside El Club and Neruda), as well as his first to be made in the United States and English. Such changes in surroundings might have thrown a lesser director off, or at least compromised their style, but Larraín’s conviction, signature moves, and leftward-leaning politics appear to have remained intact. Produced by Darren Aronofsky and boasting a staggering, disorientating string-based soundtrack from Mica Levi (Under the Skin), Jackie has the sophisticated psychological aesthetic of a Jonathan Glazer movie but focuses on one of the most contentious and traumatic events in U.S.

Ardent readers of the Outlander series, have you been wondering about the face of Lord John Grey?
Worry no more! A very handsome Australian by the name of David Berry has landed the role for Outlander Season 3, which will depict events from the Voyager book.
Here's a little bit about the role, according to Starz:
He’s a steadfast and honorable British subject, torn between a finely-honed sense of familial duty and a strong moral compass of right and wrong.
He is boyishly handsome with an upper class rearing — the consummate gentleman.
However, a scandal from his past has relegated Lord John to an undesirable position as governor of a desolate prison in Northern Scotland.
Thank goodness he has a strong moral compass. Because you guys, Jamie is going to prison. Again.

The Kiriakis family took sides as Victor was arrested for helping to kidnap little Tate.
A powerful family at war with itself makes for great soap drama, and Days of Our Lives delivered this week. Less exciting was Jennifer's inexplicable relapse and Ciara's attempt to seduce Chad, but at least Ciara got some comeuppance when she walked in on Theo kissing her best friend!
From the beginning, there were signs that Victor was involved in little Tate's disappearance. He had a motive -- the kidnapping conveniently discredited both Summer and Theresa, the two women he wants out of his family for good.
He had a track record of this sort of stunt, having done something similar when Claire was a baby.
And, being Victor Kiriakis, he always has means, even after Deimos supposedly took all of his assets.
