Everybody knows the story behind this production: famous French director Luc Besson had a time out last year and he quickly wrote the screenplay for this movie. Then, he produced it with a small budget and no stars. And Taxi surprised everyone with 6 million entries in France only.
Ok about the making of the film. But what about the film ? Well, honestly the screenplay of Mister Besson is very thin. There's some good car chases but except that it's a lot of dejà-vu. The humour is juvenile, actors are at ease but in the end you're glad the ride is over (not exactly because there will be a sequel ?!).
Let's hope that the next flick of Luc Besson, Joan of Arc with the sensational Milla Jovovich, will be more ...let's say with less testosterone and more brain.
