"Cherish", a not-to-be-taken-seriously dramedy laced with lots of pop hit songs, is all about Tunney as a dowdy corporate cubicle nonentity who finds herself under house arrest unjustly and, given time to think about her circumstances, goes to extreme measures to take charge of her life once and for all. Although the film has "indie" written all over it and never quite realizes the climax ala "Rocky" it's going for, it does have its moments and makes for a fresh, fun, and somewhat quirky watch for those into girl power flicks.
