Don't blame the actors, except the ones doing bad US accents!
3 April 2004
I really do mean don't blame the actors, they were probably either a) contractually obligated (in the case of Muniz, who did his best to hold this trash together), or b) desperate to get themselves out there into the public eye (and who can blame them for that really).

The people to blame are the people who approved the script, funded this movie based on THAT SCRIPT, and watched the rushes and DIDN'T SEE THE FAULTS.

Apparently, 95% of actors are out of work - well why the heck didn't they hire some of the 95% who CAN do a decent American accent - the kids at the camp were obviously filmed in the UK because their accents totally sucked, and as for the rest of the pathetically mish moshed accents I mean puh-leeeeze! The kids in the "band" were terrible at both accents and acting for the most part, the scripting in those scenes was diabolical, the gadget guy was enough to make me cringe and want to leave the theatre, and Diaz, well what can I say (did he even go to acting school, I am sure he must have missed the lecture on how to do a decent accent).

I am English and I love London, and London looked great in this movie, but that aside, there wasn't a lot to approve of in this movie.

I am sad to think that Muniz a talented young actor, following in the footsteps of other vertically challenged comic actors (like Michael J Fox), had to appear in this. And the young English actress, Hannah something, ex pop star, really didn't do that badly, nor did Anthony Anderson, but there is only so much they can do.

Shame on the producers for bankrolling this piece of forgettable averageness!

Don't waste your money in the cinema - hire it on video or DVD, it'll be in the 2 for £10 DVD bin by the end of the year!
