Clock Tower 3 (2002 Video Game)
Promising at first, but steadily declines
30 July 2003
I'm a big fan of the clock tower series, so i had to play this one. you are alyssa, a young girl who finds herself caught amidst a chilling mystery across time. The first 2 levels and bosses of this game had this at at LEAST number 3 on my favorite games of all time list, next to silent hill 1 and 2. Yet unfortunately at the beginning of the third section, it all goes downhill, using mediocre jump scares, as well as a very thin plot that could be straight out of final fantasy, definately not fit for a game of it's genre. the classic scissorman of the first games of the series is lacking in this one, but is replaced with a multitude of newer enemies. The gameplay is decent, sometimes turning around is tricky. The gore is moderate, there are a few cutscenes that i wouldn't show the kids though. You don't have any weapons at your disposal, leaving you to rely on hiding places, stunning holy water, and your wits.

This game at first was amazing, with eerie surroundings, atmosphere, music, and plot, but fails due to it's goofy later plot. i give it 6 out of 10 rent it, but i wouldn't buy it
