It took me a couple of weeks to get around to seeing this movie after it's release date of 16 August 2004, but I am glad I got around to seeing it. There have been a few good movies to come out of Central and South America over the last few years and this one proved to be yet another good one.
The movie portrays the trials and tribulations many of us go thru during our lives as we strive for a better life and also and goes on to show that the choices we make in life affect not only ourselves, but many people around us.
The main part I didn't like was that after Maria gets pregnant by her boyfriend, she doesn't want to marry the guy, even though he was stepping up to take on the responsibility.
