I don't agree with some of the comments made about this movie. I had decided to go see it when I saw the stand up in the theatre months ago. My reason being that the movie featured John Travolta (whom I had a crush on during childhood, after seeing "Grease"), and an all star cast. I had no idea that "Be Cool" is a sequel to "Get Shorty". I found this out while watching E entertainment hours before going to see the flick. I had not seen "Get Shorty" before this, so I would not know if this would be considered a great sequel or not. But I do know that this movie was one of the coolest movies I've seen in a while (please excuse the pun). John Travolta and Uma Thurman were amazing, as always; and Christina Milian's performances were great (one in particular made me cry, but I'm a really emotional person anyway). There are a few comedians thrown into the movie, but the standout characters (in my opinion) were the newcomers. The comedic performances from Andre Benjamin (from my favorite rap group, OutKast) and The Rock kept me laughing for most of the 111 minutes of the film. I went out to see this movie with my husband and a couple of friends, for his birthday. It was my husband's pick, and we all enjoyed this movie very much.
