I can see where some people didn't see the ending coming, but I actually thought it was rather predictable and saw it for quite a while while watching the movie. Of course I think it made it a better movie. If it had ended with him doing anything else it wouldn't have sent as strong of a message. Bernie Mac did an excellent job portraying the character. It was also very strong factually and the baseball part of the movie was realistic. The actors were very dedicated to making it look like a real game. The special features on the DVD really show all the hard work and dedication that the actors put in. As for it being a comedy, it had its funny moments, but is also a great story and was done better and with more taste than most modern day comedies.
