I came to watch 'Parineeta' hoping that it wouldn't be the normal Hindi flick we are all so bored of. I was pleasantly surprised. While the plot is based on love,it had a unique element in it which appealed to me very much: you could FEEL for the central character, Saif. To feel for the central character in any Hindi film is often difficult (save 'Black' and some Shah Rukh flicks), but Saif's laid back acting created intimacy with the audience. We could feel his rage, his passion and jealousy. The beautiful new comer, Vidya Balan,was indeed exceptional too.
Overall, the film has good cast, great music, colour and emotion and it may seem like but isn't your normal run-of-the-mill Hindi film. Watch it, you wont regret it.
