Every blue moon a show comes along that makes you think, makes you laugh and makes you cry all at the same time. Enter the now canceled "Dead Like Me". Ellen Muth is wonderful with her sardonic wit and quirky smile. The irony of dying by being hit by a toilet seat that fell from a space craft only to be turned into a grim reaper. Mandy Patinkin is a gem as the understated leader of this band of misfits. Christine Willes is superb as the leader of "Happy Time" employment agency with her unique smile and "words of wisdom". All of the reapers have to work or steal to exist in the real world. Laura Harris is wonderful as the actress Daisy Adair with all her exploits as a former actress and the adventures she had long ago.Callum Blue is just the right kind of almost rebel who ads a sense of mischief to the group. Jasmine Guy is a great tough "Guy" who trys to bring a sense of order in this world of chaos. Cynthia Stevenson is just the kind of mom you hope you never have but has great comic timing. A must see show!
