A funny way to fund another movie
10 August 2007
This is not really a sequel to the first one, as no sequels were really possible. But they found a way to do it in a illogical manner, which can be quite funny by moments. But, we need to remember that this movie was made to fund the production of the movie "15 Février 1839", which, for me and many Quebecers I'm sure, is a valid cause.

The movie picks up (sort of) where the first movie end, summarily explaining the what and why, which have no consequences, or importance for that matter, on the final result. It is more like a sequence of gags à la Benny Hill than a real movie but it tries real hard to have a continuity. Except for the scene where the director and the main actor explain the movie (I can't believe they did not cut that one out) the movie has funny moments, probably more if you're drunk but who knows...

As much as I hate to admit it, Elvis Gratton is the worst part of Quebec, but, in a pre-Borat world, it was the best of its kind.
