Machete (1958)
Not bad.

Warning: Spoilers
I expected a little more from the director of "The Fly".

It begins like "The Naked Jungle". The owner of a sugar can plantation arrives at "home", in Puerto Rico - where the film was shot, in locations - with his beautiful wife. And he presents her to his employees, including the one he raised since he was a kid. Nearly his own son. A native.

And that's the start of all his troubles...

This is more a melodrama than an adventure movie. However, there is Lee Van Cleef as the villain, the plantation owner's foreman, who contributes to put some spice in this movie.

It's in black and white. It is surprising for this kind of production.

But it's not really bad. No boredom to see it.
