All the way through this film I was waiting for the characters to figure out what was going on.
In the first bar scene, I expected Irene to figure out that Jean was actually the bartender - but she didn't. From then on I was disappointed numerous times by the stupidity of people when they were unable to see what was in front of their own faces.
Plus there was the plain impossibility that their "partners" failed to notice that they were missing for long periods of time. I also didn't believe for a second that Irene would find Jean in the slightest attractive or interesting once she discovered his financial plight.
Another thing they failed to realise is that sleeping with people for money is called prostitution and maybe they should rethink their chosen profession.
I really only rented this DVD to see Audrey Tautou in skimpy dresses - as promised by a DVD review magazine - but I couldn't give the film more than 5 out of 10 despite the lovely Audrey's flesh-fest as it was just so inane and frustrating.
