After thoroughly enjoying the original mini-series of "Merlin" with Sam Neil as Merlin, I hoped that this would be as good. Frankly -it's not. The acting is appalling with all manner of strange accents, John Readon's "Jack" is an extremely irritating character who can't seem to make his mind up whether he's Irish, Scottish, English or Canadian. Budget Arnie (Rauskaug) was amusing at first but quickly wore thin. Sam Neil seems to have forgotten how to act as well in this film, which is a crying shame as his Merlin was near perfect. Miranda Richardson has become nothing but a breathy mess. THe plot I lasted 40 mins and I am sad that I spent good money on this drivel.
