If you like the Our Gang "let's put on a show" films you'll love this

Warning: Spoilers
On a boat moored in a creek the kids stage a musical set on a Southern plantation.

Yet another one of the endless "let's put on a show" films that seem to appear with a frightening regularity in the MGM series of films. This one has less plot outside of the one on stage which is a typical send up of all things Antebellum South. For me, who hates these style of films, at least when it comes to the Our Gang series, this was a difficult ten minutes to get through. Whether the music is good or bad I'm always left to wonder where the money comes from for the shows and if there are a hundred kids dancing on stage who is left to fill the seats? Now if you could answer me that I might enjoy this nonsense more
