this is a really enjoyable film that keeps you going all the way through. It is set in Shenzhen, a city in South East China that is usually a very warm place but in this case it is experiencing an extraordinary heatwave, which is the backdrop to the story - in some cases affects the behaviour of the main characters involved. Despite this, the script is well written, constantly switching between the various characters own respective sub-plots. Each character in the film is on a journey of some kind, which in the end all comes together with a multitude of happy endings, and a twist of sorts. The movie promotion poster makes this look like a bit of a throwaway romance flick but the movie comes across deeper than that and you really take to the characters. Nice work. 8/10
