If only...I actually cried during tonight's show (Jan 24). If anyone has every been in the condition of the older woman, they should understand. What is this country coming to? I was born here, and I've worked since I was 20, but I cannot live on my social security. Every penny I earned while working had to be used to survive, and I have a B.S. For 40 years, I've lived in a tiny (800 sq. ft.) duplex but no matter how much I tried, this was the best I could do.
I enjoy watching Hawaii Five-O, but when I saw Kathy Bates was coming to television, I changed channels for this time slot. I hope the producers continue to present the types of issues many Americans are experiencing today. It is a sad commentary that so many of our citizens are starving and/or struggling to survive in the richest nation in the world. Each time the rain falls, I feel it is God's tears.
