Roman Polanksi has been wanted for over thirty years. Polanski, who escaped war torn Europe and losing his mother in the Holocaust, no doubt has as many friends as those who despise him. And by all means the flamboyant Roman as always been the subject of interest and misunderstanding. Polanski is a prolific director and most associated with films like: ROSEMARY'S BABY(68), CHINATOWN(74),TESS(79), THE PIANIST(2002)and most recent THE GHOST WRITER in 2010. The director was married to the beautiful actress Sharon Tate when she was brutally murdered in 1969. In 1977 Polanski was accused and later convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with then a 13-year-old girl at the home of vacationing friend actor Jack Nicholson. Several other charges were dropped in a deal with prosecutors and before sentencing, the diminutive director fled the US. This documentary takes a look inside the scandal, ridicule and the personal and private tragedy leading up to the brilliant director's self imposed exile. Tons of archival footage is used and features the likes of: Mia Farrow, Michael Cain, Catherine Deneuve, Dick Cavett, Terence Stamp, Mick Jagger and Nicolas Cage. This documentary is credited to Marina Zenovich and the Image Entertainment DVD contains at least 2 hours of Never-Before-Seen interviews.
