The Thanksgiving Visitor (1968 TV Movie)
10/10
Geraldine Page at her very best

Warning: Spoilers
I dug out my DVD of The Thanksgiving Visitor that was recorded from A and E television on cable out last Sunday and sat down and watched this lovely gem.I was transported back into time by the wonderful Geraldine Page. This is Geraldine Page at her very best. The story itself by Truman Capote is amazing. One of my favorite things about The Thanksgiving Visitor is that Truman Capote not only wrote the story, but he gave some narration during the movie.Sook is such an enigmatic character with special layers that are waiting to be discovered.I have wondered if the movie was actually shot on a farm or old homestead. It looks like the movie was shot on location. The setting, writing and the actors make this one special story.I have this movie.
