This show is probably the strangest entry in the franchise because it's so radically different from it's predecessors because it takes sort of a Shonen action route. But that can be a good thing because sometimes something different can equal a good show. I'm a fan of the Gundam franchise and I'll admit at first I was put off by this show but then it kinda grew on my and I actually love it, because for me it's a breather from the norm, this show is my forth favorite entry in the franchise.

It's basically "Street Fighter" with Gundams. There are a lot of very good things to say. I do like the concept I think it's interesting but it also really helped expand on the Gundam universe because we get to see the world and have different locations in each fight so it doesn't feel like their always set in just one arena all the time. I love how each of the Gundam's are designed their non cliché models each is always bizarrely but fascinatingly different, I even like their abilities which makes them all the more unique. I really love how the fights are choreographed they really are intense and feel unpredictable, due to the fact each episode has a different opponent and the abilities they. Each fight is never too long even though sometimes there can be an arc but it's a small arc.

However, what also makes the show are the characters, all have a great amount of depth as the show goes on there is always something new about them that we never knew which can make our feelings for the characters shift or grow. And each has a reason on why they want to win, which makes us care because we understand their reason. And most of all all of them actually develop as the show moves more and more forward along with each of their plots. Now a show sometimes with multiple characters and plots don't always work, but this show is able to successfully balance them out because it knows who each person is and what they want to do.

To me my favorite characters were Domon and Rain. Both are one of my favorite anime couples because their feelings for one another are genuine and develop. Domon is arrogant but never hotheaded, he is fiercely determined to complete is quest to free his father but makes sure his goal doesn't become obsession though it comes close sometimes, he does have warmth but doesn't show it unless it's with Rain.

Rain is a good friend/significant other, I really like the fact she isn't just some cliché damsel in distress or even a mere hood ornament along for the ride but that she has a function. She is the engineer for Domon's Gundam as well as childhood friend, she's sweet but very smart and does have a hint of spice in her persona, she really takes the time to listen and understand Domon, she does eventually pilot her own Gundam so she can hold her own, and she hot she does look great in that tight Gundam body suit it does display her ahem features.

Both I feel have great chemistry, their relationship is the typical friends to lovers motif but it's done right and I actually did deeply care and buy into it especially for what happens near the end which I won't give away but their unforgettable and beautiful.

Well I'm finished, G Gundam like any good machine has all the right parts to make it work.
