Money making tactic that puts even the crudest of films to shame
24 July 2014
Having seen the film I have to say it was a bitter disappointment that discredited its TV counterpart. The structure of the movie was flawed with several holes in the plot. O'Caroll brought jokes that lacked any humour and thus failed to bring the laughs.

I don't consider myself a fan of Mrs Brown's Boys per se but it's tongue in cheek gags have brought an occasional wry smile. The film version though is a transparently desperate attempt to keep the dying series afloat. It's jokes are outright bold but nevertheless some of the crudest ever put to the screen.

To summarize Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie is little more than an exploitive gimmick made to milk the franchise for everything its got which isn't much.
