I disagree with the Raters who state that the verbiage is "dumbed down" and it was poorly done ... Yes there were sayings and words used that obviously were not from this time period, but this mini series was exceptional at putting a modern storyline in the mix while still holding true to actual events . Some additons were made up for dramatic purposes, but it offered a view for those who otherwise would have never learned about this topic . Take it from someone who hated History and refused to read any additional information for many years because every single history teacher I had was horrendous . Memorize dates and names and that's it. I was never taught in any other way than strict lecture and memorization ... Had we been given something similar to this in school I guarantee history would have become a favorite subject of many. We need to make history interesting yet factual and by doing so we will have solved the "history is so boring" stereotype.
